    This coffee table book is a must for any fan. I consider it to be best resource for Ward and Ward covers.

    The covers can be brutal, yes... but the black and white illustrations in the interiors of some of the Spicy and dime pulps??? Downright brutal, sinister and x rated. The folks of the 30s had some serious dark sides. The stuff contained in some of those pages is very disturbing.

    Technically, the Cupids Capers is a magazine, not a pulp, but all the pulp heads seem to desire a copy... me included. There will be a copy available in an upcoming Heritage auction, but I fear the days of obtaining a copy for under 5k are long over.
