  1. Bobby bought a big book from me. Good communication and fast payment. Thanks for making my first transaction here easy!
  2. Incredible Hulk #181 CGC 9.2 Off-White to White pages. Custom Wolverine label. $9999 Shipping included, Continental US only. Paypal Goods & Services for payment. No returns.
  3. I haven't had a problem with baking parchment paper. I've been using these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M44G72B?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder-t1_k0_1_10&amp=&crid=GETHJA526RGF&amp=&sprefix=parchment+
  4. Thank you, looking very closely along the spine I can see that the color didnt quite match. Along the right side I think someone colored in the Hulk's head, although I don't see a clear color mis-match. No grading for this book then, itll be my reader copy.
  5. I bought this in the year 2000, so I wasn't really aware of or looking for restoration. I was going to send it in, but now I'm noticing what looks like bleed through on the front cover. Just want to get some other opinions. Thank you!
  6. Had one very similar, came back 7.0 after a quick press. I initially paid $130, so it depends on the asking price.
  7. I use CLZ for mobile and Comic Collector for my PC. You can sync between them. The cost is pretty reasonable (~$15 per year for each), and it's my favorite cataloging software for comics.
  8. I use an app called PhotoScan on my phone. It helps with glare.
  9. Yeah, I probably wouldn't use them again for pressing. I think mostly it was the back cover though.
  10. Right on! LCS did a quick press, but it wasn't completely flat. Still happy with the grade.
  11. I think that's just glare from the light on the UPC, there no color loss. I'd be pretty happy with an 8.0, but I think that tear and crease might hurt.
  12. Front looks good, it's mainly the back cover with problems. Thats a 1/4" tear in last pic.
  13. Grader Notes:heavy creasing to cover heavy spine stress lines to cover heavy staining to cover heavy tape residue heavy tape stain light pieces out to cover moderate tears to cover re-attached with tape cover Comments: Spine of cover completely split & re-attached with tape Here are the PGX notes: Hulk #1 - 6" spine split, multiple stress lines along the spine, significant cover/edge/spine wear, cover attached to book by tape, spine reinforced with tape. I'm happy with the results, just wanted to post.
  14. Received my 1st crossover book back Hulk #1 PGX 1.5 to Hulk #1 CGC 0.5 (Universal, blue label, whew!) Happy I got a blue label, kinda expected a grade drop. I don't know how the book managed a 1.5 before, but was hoping for 1.0. oh well. Book is complete, that was the other thing I was worried about.
  15. Looking at the bottom staple. I can't see any other signs of color touch besides this. Here is the listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hulk-1-G-VG-3-0-off-white-pages-Origin-1st-app-Marvel-1962-No-Reserve/133126565100?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Db6c7aa281c9a4696a781d57d6cdc9977%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D8%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D303242803407%26itm%3D133126565100%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A6220f10a-b8dd-11e9-af94-74dbd1800eb9|parentrq%3A6ac913dc16c0a9c0a80123ccffdfba51|iid%3A1 Thanks all!
  16. Received this comic a while back. It looks like half the first page was torn out and reattached using 3 staples and some glue. The comic is pretty low grade overall, just curious as I may want a slabbed copy in the future. Thanks!
  17. Well, went ahead and resubmitted. Got a screening first, for benefit of pressing. CCS approved of the pressing. And this is what it got! Super happy with the results! Tiny crease doesn't disqualify a 9.8.
  18. Incredible Hulk 104 and 105, and Sub-Mariner #23, by Marie Severin. At the Seattle Comic Convention, before it became Emerald City Comicon. I think it was 1995 or 96. She had these to purchase as well, and I had one personalized with my name. Unfortunately, it disappeared along with some comics during a cross country move.
  19. Isn't going down a possibility, though? I've read of pages going from white to W/OW in the case. There is also the subjectivity of the grader to take into account. I'll probably do it though, unless I get a good trade offer at the next comicon.
  20. I've had this book since the 90s and had it graded in 2001. As such, I don't think it's ever been pressed. I don't know that it would benefit. CGC notes say: "Center Spine Small Stress Lines Breaks Color Front Cover Lite Multiple Finger Bends" Do the stress lines disqualify a 9.8? 4/26/19 See my last post.
  21. The actual hole itself is pretty small, probably about 1/8th -1/4 inch diameter. I often wonder if I should remove the tape myself and uncover the hole. There would also be a tape pull around the hole.
