  1. Hobby for me. Some books actually shot up in value unexpectedly which makes me all the happier.
  2. The new Spawn movie...also Ghostbusters 3 hopefully with the original ensemble minus Harold Ramis, RIP.
  3. Plus a Spider-Man who doesn't know that it gets cold in outer space oughta get slapped.
  4. With no Egon? That's gonna be tough
  5. Wow, normally I don't really care about free comic book day freebies, but THIS!!! I want for sure!
  6. Sounds like how the downfall of KISS began.
  7. kind of sucks Marvel doesn't show variant covers on their website anymore...
  8. Yeah I meant Pearl Mackie's Bill, lol. I haven't watched Doctor Who in about three years so I apologize.
  9. Good to see a lot of Punisher fans excited as I am
  10. Yeah, I do suppose "hate" is a bit of dicey coin of phrase, though the point is the more judgmental side was prominent for sure, haha. But later on it felt more or less just Eleventh Doctor rehashes, where they constantly relying on the Daleks, Cybermen, etc. as a crutch for a good chunk of the episodes. I did enjoy the Robin Hood episode early in his run and the finale saying goodbye to Clara was certainly heart touching. I didn't really watch any episodes with Billie though, were those any good?
  11. Todd McFarlane George Perez Jim Lee Luis Royo Marc Silvestri Jack Kirby Boris Vallejo Frank Frazetta John Romita Sr./Jr. Ken Kelly
  12. Yeah, no kidding. I'd like to have one done with Larry Elmore for sure.
  13. Also I forgot to answer this the last time I skimmed through this thread, but I've got a BOOM! Studios Power Rangers #0 Green Ranger variant that's worth about two hundred bucks now. I also bought Spawn #231 which also is floating in that price range currently. While they aren't "big bucks", per se, there are some floating around here and there.
  14. Indeed, let's see if they can get a better tap on its somewhat noir-ish roots compared to the movie. Maybe it'll be lucky enough to get Alan Moore's blessing? lol.
  15. Meh, Capaldi was good when he hated the humans and had a distinct apathy. After that they completely bombed it.
  16. What are you all looking forward to in 2019's comic related repertoire? I'm pretty excited to see the Darkness from Top Cow come back little less excited that Jackie Estacado and Sara Pezzini won't be main characters Also the new Captain Marvel movie looks pretty good, can't wait to take a gander at it! Plus Spawn will be hitting the big 300, which means it'll be rivaling Cerberus (?) as the longest running independent comic once it surpasses 301!
  17. Actually heard about the Creeps magazine from this subforum. Absolutely in love with the art and the writing, kind of what Heavy Metal is lacking these days. I was also kind of surprised by how new it is. Hopefully it reaches the heights epic and eerie magazine kind of did. Just got these:
  18. Can't wait to see more of the Punisher compared to Frank Castle!
  19. Hopefully Glass isn't a sinker, the first two movies were so greatly orchestrated.
  20. Not sure if these have been mentioned yet, but in Paul the title character can be seen going through a comic book rack of Spawn and various Image comics. Also in Superbad at the party that Jay and Seth are taken to by Frances there's a gigantic Spawn #22 poster behind the door of one of the bedrooms. Couldn't find any pics, sorry.
  21. Bums me out so much as a Spider-Fan that that was a PS4 exclusive. Darn you Sony and your precious exclusivity.
  22. So I'm part of this aforementioned "younger generation". I can't really say anything that hasn't really been said, but, I still like taking a trip to my local store and picking up a new issue of Spawn and the Walking Dead every week. Also Witchblade before it was cancelled and rebooted. Started up back in 2013 with the Superior Spider-Man, that was pretty decent, but not great. I eventually found out Disney is a parent of Marvel since 2009 and that's why their stories were so subpar (too much SJW stuff they tried to throw in too). I also kind of didn't have a choice because the nearest thing to an LCS at that time was a Barnes & Noble we lived near, so I didn't have much of choice. Flash forward two years I stepped into my first ever LCS, and I remember seeing Spawn and having watched the movie (waaay back in the day, and it was cool when I was younger, lol, but my deposition has changed in recent years, only on the movie though), and that's when I started to read and collect the actual comics and discovered other Image titles and realized how they were related to the whole scheme of the comic books market and such. Also I'm a fan of the Heavy Metal Magazine. Friends aren't into it as much as I am, the only nerdy interest that we share akin is in Magic: The Gathering, lol.
  23. yeah, according to the news that's the last Blockbuster store in operation right now in these United States.
