  1. Not borrowing from the comics is definitely a nice touch, and a good chunk of Scrosese's films touch on crime and the human psyche. Pretty exciting stuff! Plus DC has been on a good streak since the disaster that was the Justice League movie with hits like the new Swamp Thing, Titans, Doom Patrol, and Shazam, so.
  2. Indeed, this season is definitely best stomached slowly anyway as the story kind of goes off on a bit of a slower pace comparably.
  3. I'd agree that Season 3 isn't good as the first two seasons, but regardless is still good for sure...What I mostly liked about Seasons 1 and 2 was that it gave a rather genuine 1980s vibe as well as giving these young characters quite a bit of emotional depth and turmoil that truly made you feel for them. So far though Season 3 maintains that "genuine" Eighties feel still, but 3 is mostly just good in the way of it being more of a sci-fi thriller now. Kind of happy to still see the show going this strong and not falling into its own cliches. Excited for the fourth season!
  4. Indeed, they don't have many flagship titles as they do successful ones. Probably Spawn and Savage Dragon might be all they have left in terms of ones that still make them stand out, but Image has an interesting way of pulling an ace out of the hole in weird moments, so we'll see. I did enjoy reading TWD comics since the show was announced (08-09, I think?), even when it did kind of drop in quality a bit later on in its run. Well done, Robert Kirkman!
  5. Wow, the finale to season two and what happens to Miguel and Lawrence was mind blowingly good, and added more dimensions to each character. I haven't been impressed by writing on a show as I have on this one for a while.
  6. Hope it's good. I'm glad Discovery eased back on all the SJW stuff during the second season but the whole affair feels terribly bland, like DS9 bland...though as for the notion of seeing the future of the Star Trek universe, all I can is it's about freakin' time, lol.
  7. Just watched the first season. Absolutely great (Zabka with the beard made him look a lot like Pete Townsend as well as a lot wiser, shame he shaved it off) acting from Zabka and Macchio, and the intersecting plotlines with "the next generation" was absolutely superb as well (and not diving into classic tropes or cliches, which is even better!).
  8. The trailer does look pretty good. It'd definitely be nice to see this as one man's transition into madness due to life collapsing upon him and pushing him to a crazier side. Though I wouldn't even consider this a DC movie upon viewing it, though. More like a separate entity upon itself.
  9. yeah, sorry, I thought you were talking about the Netflix series for some reason, haha.
  10. Some other recommended ones are readcomiconline.to (WAY more up to date) and readallcomics.com (releases new comics on the days they come out).
  11. Looks good! Can't wait to see how the characters have matured since then
  12. The Bruce Lee scene had me a good chuckle for a few minutes.
  13. hmph, all I could think of was this when I saw the title.
  14. Man, those wrinkles on Jay's face just show how hard those drugs and alcohol went on him, lol. Also yeah, a thin Silent Bob is going to be really out of this world. Also I really hope this film does as well as the original. Ever since Clerks II Kev's track record hasn't been so great
  15. Yeah, I tend to read mine online though just so I can keep the physical copy intact.
  16. Spawn #39. Kind of highlighted the plight of humanity and being a kid and such. Really hit home for me.
  17. Not all of us twenty year olds necessarily get ALL of those things (basically the only thing I pay out of those right now is my phone bill), but yeah no, nobody in their right mind would give all that up for glorified drek, haha. Almost how I won't pay to go see KISS on their final tour right now. Why? Because in their current iteration they're just a glorified cover band compared to 1983 and back when they were in their prime (sans Dynasty, Unmasked, and Music from "the Elder").
  18. Wonder Woman 128 from the site, Spawn 293 (x2 for some reason) from my comic subscription, and Spawn 294 variant cover
  19. Tough fight between '94 Spidey and '92 X-Men, but let's go with X-Men
