  1. I love the back cover almost as much as the front...
  2. Nice copy! Yeah, I sure wish I had a nice #12...
  3. I've been collecting all these books for years, just because I like them... (and 'cause they used to be inexpensive!) Now they're almost worth their weight in gold. (Or have they passed that point already...?) I think this is kinda neat.
  4. Those are his last line of defense. I tried using attack hamsters... but they just wanted to chew up on my comics. And they were useless against intruders.
  5. I started reading the issue: http://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=25676 I have to say I enjoy reading these books. The art is fantastic and the stories are entertaining. Hate to be the one to tell you, but... the copy at comicbookplus, (AND the copy at the Digital Comic Museum) do not have the correct interiors for this issue. The book used for the scans was a rare rebound variant. I believe the first book in that copy is Wartime Romances #1. True Love Pictorial #4 is actually made up from then-original stories. But there are rebound variants known to exist, and that copy is one of them. I really wish they'd fix that.
  6. You may rifle through many books, only to discover that this one is at the bank in a safety deposit box, in the vault, behind a very large locked door.
  7. I know someone who needs one of these...
  8. Good to know. I'd love to get that one squared up. These squarebound giants look so good when the spines are properly square and aligned.
  9. Mine is a cherry copy, color-wise. Although, I often wonder if it's possible to square up the spine to it's correct right angle. As you can see, the spine is starting to lean over a little. Does anyone know if that can be fixed somehow?
  10. That happens sometimes, but also, as the colors mellow over time, due to light exposure, etc., the blues often become closer to purple. I've seen it many times, especially on certain EC covers.
  11. Just a great issue- one of my faves. Too bad it's locked up in plastic; it has some 41 pages of wonderful Baker art inside. You need a low grade reader of this one. (I do, too, for that matter...)
  12. Happy to finally upgrade to this copy. Great cover, great Baker art inside.
  13. Not me. I already have one. I was very pleased with the prices they sold for, tho.
  14. Sweetness! Hard to tell from a scan, and through a bag, but... might be the nicest copy I've ever seen. Super tough one, too.
  15. I wonder how this hairy rascal would rate in the census...
  16. I'll keep you in mind should I ever upgrade. I love that cover, too.
  17. "My Cruel Deception". (The Rock Hudson story...?)
  18. Wow, somebody must've snagged that Brides Romances 7 as I was looking through everything. It was there one minute, gone the next! Nice copy, but I didn't expect it to sell for that asking price.
  19. The immortal words of Saturday Night Live's Ernestine the operator (Lily Tomlin) have never rung more true than they do for (ahem) enterprises today... "You see, this phone system consists of a multibillion-dollar matrix of space age technology that is so sophisticated - even we can't handle it. But that's your problem, isn't it? So, the next time you complain about your phone service, why don't you try using two Dixie cups with a string? We don't care. We don't have to. We're the Phone Company." – Saturday Night Live, September 18, 1976
