I've been keeping up with Ed Piskor's X-men: Grand Design run (which is amazing by the way ) and picked up this variant last week. I dig it, its super cool, but I like creepy things, which this definately is haha. Whats some of the weirdest/creepiest covers in your collection?

Reading this thread and looking at the prices of these books is heartbreaking for me haha. Hulk 181 has always been my absolute grail book and to see it reach heights like this with no sign of slowing is a bit of a killer. Just came about at the wrong time as I've got my wedding and honeymoon to pay for or I'd be jumping on a lower grade copy with no hesitation. When I started collecting I thought it was crazy what this book went for (as well as being worse off financially) and I thought I'd grab it in a few years time. It's getting further out of reach for average joes and my fear is that by the time I can afford to throw some cash at it, it's going to be far gone That said, congrats to anyone that jumped in at the right time and has made a nice profit, it's both awesome and gut wrenching to see this book get its dues.

That's pleasing to hear! If so I think I nabbed it at a decent price. I'm looking for a bunch of comics worth sending off for my first cgc batch so I'll update when I do! Thanks guys.

Any estimates are really appreciated as I really have little to no idea on grading. (I think the black spot on the top left of the book is a printing defect, not soiling) Cheers!

Hey all, New to the boards and relatively new to collecting (been buying a few bits and pieces for about two years, maybe about 200 comics give or take). I've been lurking for a few weeks and thought I'd say g'day. I hail from Australia, I'm 27, and also a record collector/DJ (funk, soul, jazz fusion, 90's hip-hop). In regards to comics I mainly collect X-men - I've always been a fan of them in some shape or form since the 90's animated series. I'd love to eventually collect the entire 1-66 run of vol.1 (even if only in a lowish grade) I have a couple issues sorted but trying to get them for a fair price in Australia is a bit tough and shipping from the US is a killer sometimes. Anyway, thats enough of my life story. Looking forward to becoming a part of the community here!
