  1. FS- Doc Savage, Ducks, Kirby, Archie, etc! http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=78665 A few items from my collection. Mostly vintage. Marie Severin, Kirby, Marshall Rogers, Tony Strobl, Stelfreeze, and more. I don't buy and sell as much as I used to, so if you feel a price is not correct, let me know. Nothing comes framed. Items will be well packaged and sent priority mail. Thanks, Dan
  2. I have a Kirby invaders cover. What price are you offering?
  3. A shame both ways... If a fake then the buyer paid 2 too many 0s, if real then the seller gave up 2 0s to the price...;
  4. Wow, interesting to say the least. Funny, when that don rosa Scrooge came up from the same seller I thought it didn't look quite right. It may be real, but it jumped out at me.
  5. Anyone out there know who might have painted this art? Done as the cover and back cover on one big board to the Dennis the Menace punch out book from 1960. Was told it might be Lee Holley, but it looks like it more like Al Wiseman to me. Did he ever paint Dennis??
  6. THIS IS NOT A 1ST VERSION! It is a prelim. The one and only 'version' resides in Jaume Vaquer's gallery.
  7. I knew these fake covers where out there, but I totally missed that ebay auction!! I just emailed the seller to get more info. What was the other 4color cover that was sold or attempted to be sold this year? I think it is important to keep this info public so that the parties that be don't just wait a decade and try to sell them all over again.
  8. Classic Oldies. Sore rear and no food... my how times have changed.
  9. Yay! It lives.... Here's a question for any experts. I've perused this thread a few times and there doesn't seem to be consensus on who followed Wiseman on DTM. I've always assumed it was Owen Fitzgerald but there was a post somewhere in there that talks about Bruce Ariss taking over the duties on a more regular basis. Here's the cover to issue #95; is it Owen?
  10. I have an Al Wiseman Dennis full page that I am selling. Check it out here: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryRoom.asp?GSub=78665
  11. It must depend on the Hobby Lobby. My local one usually stocks good mats and has all the acid free boards in stock. Also, their default is conservation clear glass. Also, they will frame the item while I watch and wait. The lady I use there always puts paper on the back. Takes some time as they field questions and calls, but I feel safer that way. And, my Hobby Lobby is about half the price of Michaels which is important as I frame alot.
  12. Scan and put on ebay is a good way. Unless you want to post it to the comicartmarketplace here on this site. In both case, you will need photos.
  13. I too totally understand where you are coming from. I had a similar experience a couple years ago and got very frustrated. I ended up selling the piece as soon as I got it on ebay and donating all the money to Bob Larkin who was and still is going through some rough times with medical expenses. The artist and his rep were very angry and suprised I just 'flipped' it after all the wrangling, which was sweet justice for me. And, Bob was just as suprised and happy to get a windfall. Turned a negative into a total positive for me! Now when I think back on the ordeal and the piece, I get a warm feeling. Hope you net the same results. (thumbs u
  14. Hey, someone who is worse at photography than me!..... much worse....
