    That IS a nice signature placement. I shudder when I see high grade expensive books with signatures right in the middle of the cover, obscuring the artwork. Good luck with the sale!

    Thanks for the responses! Light is too poor to check out the staples more closely at the moment. I thought large pulls like that would bring it down to a 2.0 or below.

    I usually avoid books with so much tape pull in such a conspicuous place and I usually view it as a pretty big defect. I won't prejudice your judgement with the dealer's grade. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
