  1. Has anyone ever used a float mount? I purchased an OA watercolor cover and I'm told a float mount is all the rage for these. 🤷‍♂️
  2. Grading was slow track. Should note it was CCS quick press though!
  3. My first CCS services but thought it was pretty quick. Initially received at CCS 6/30. Result 8 - 9.8, 5 - 9.6 , 2 - 9.4 Was pleasantly surprised with 9.6 She-Hulk 1 and Thor 337.
  4. Books shipped the next day, bomb proof packaging. Made my first purchase on the boards so pleasant that if they're all like this I may not buy anywhere else from now on!
  5. I'll admit I'm a little cautiously optimistic about this recent development
  6. I seriously need to stop with these peach books 🤦‍♂️
  7. I wish I remember who I got it from, they might have been trying to send me a message seeing as it's on a Thing book.
  8. I'd give the post office a 6.0, I'd expect that thing to be destroyed loose in a padded envelope. 🤷‍♂️
  9. I found some old threads about these but didn't see anything about their effects on a comics grade. Has anyone submitted a book with one of these stamps and if so, did it negatively effect the grade? Not that I was going to pay $18 to have this particular book graded, more just curious since it seems they were likely stamped very shortly, or immediately, after printing.
  10. Sending this off on Friday. Looking pretty busted but curious to hear opinions.
  11. Thanks everyone! I appreciate the replies, lots of good info, much I wasn't aware of. I bought this book a few years ago and it was delivered loose in a priority mail envelope that was rolled into my mailbox which I think contributed to the detached cover 🤦‍♂️
  12. So I'm pretty new to this and trying to enhance my expertise (I use expertise extremely loosely). Interested in feedback on this book as well as if the photos are sufficient. One glaring deficiency, the cover is completely detached. Curious if that just drops the grade a bunch or if it gets a qualified label?
  13. Hi everyone! Longgggggg time lurker on the forums here, maybe 7 or 8 years and decided to get that first moderator approved post over with. I'll admit I'm mostly a coin guy specializing in Standing Liberty Quarters, however with all this work from home recently providing me with seemingly endless time to spend on Heritage Auctions looking for just the right quarter with just the right eye appeal, that never seems to surface, I've become a bit bored with that endeavor and decided to branch back in to comics for a bit. I started reading comics when I was about 10, so if anyone asks 19 years ago, but just between us it's been longer. Not so much a reader anymore but collecting runs deep within me and I definitely enjoy the artwork and being able to acquire books I could only dream of as a kid. Fast forward to today and I took the plunge for the first time in a long time and decided to take a trip to the mythical "outside" and took a drive to my local comic shop to see how they were doing. I hadn't been in since last August and was happy to pick up a copy of Journey Into Mystery 85 to scratch that collecting itch. Anywhooo, glad I decided to formally say hello and hoping it doesn't take another 7 or 8 years to get to post #2!
