  1. So on the one ending 004, is that a trick of the scanner or pencil marks/smudges around Julie? Asking for a friend.
  2. Is anyone going to NC Comic Con, November 9-11? I don't have anything to sub but would like to pick up some exclusives and if possible, get them signed and subbed.
  3. There is an email in the Fox 2 story but it will be to the reporter who will then get in touch with Mr. Messner-Loebs. That's a huge problem with the homeless, while many have cell phones now, it's still very difficult to reach them consistnetly. I have spent a great deal of time working with the homeless. Without trying to get on a soapbox, this is one of the precious few that I would bend over backward to try to help. He's working and trying to find a way out. You just can't ask for more than that. A great many simply prefer to live that way, and won't work given the chance. Much as I hate to say it, he should come down to Northwest Arkansas. There is a ridiculous number of services and ways to get assistance here.
  4. I posted in Comics General as well but thought that maybe some of the people that have worked with him in the past might be able to help put something in motion with him again. I know I'd gladly pay for a sketch and/or a few signatures, even at a premium, if it will help him and his wife. I don't hang out on the boards much anymore but I thought that this was important enough to warrant some attention. I did check for old posts and there are some that are similar, at least letting the community know that Mr. Messner-Loebs was in dire straights, but now there is a way to help directly. For those of us reading comics in the 80s, his name was everywhere. He was credited in the Wonder Woman movie. He should have it made, at least relatively, right? Not so much. Fox 2 in Detroit ran an article on him and it is both crushing and inspiring. Sad to see that he has fallen so far but inspiring in his attitude and willingness to just keep moving forward. I have reached out to the Hero Initiative in an effort to get him some help. Check it out, and if you can donate, please do! https://ca.gofundme.com/billmessnerloebs

  6. Are any witnesses attending Cave Con this weekend? I will be there and need some Steve Niles books signed. Thanks!
  7. Before we go any further, did I already order a set like this? I thought that I did so the other day with the other book but I don't see it here or in your PM. If not.... set x1 with what I believe to be the acetate graded. I want the one with the classic yellow background and red/white logo graded if possible.
