  1. Thanks for your help. If you can point me to a more detailed shipping article on their site I'd appreciate it. I see the forms for figuring out international, a change to domestic rates in 2008, and a notice that they will separate by tiers. Straight information is a bit lacking, and I assume I may have to go all the way through to the end of the submission form. Just looking to find out if 25 is the max and if thicker books throw that number off ie TPB thick books would count as 2 slots, etc.
  2. Ok I’ve searched here and the web, but so much comes up when searching shipping, narrowing it down has been a pain. with that said this one gets specific too. to maximize return shipping from CGC i think it’s best to submit in groups of (correct me if I’m wrong) 25. if some of the books are ticker, hypothetically let’s say 6 Tec 1000s, can you still get 25 on return? thanks if anyone can help.
  3. Just the fact you can read the prices is just so much fun to stare at them. Wish I could read the grades, I'd give you direct access to my paypal.
  4. I just spent way too much time staring t the wall looking for a deal
  5. Fun fact, I’ve been finding some later ones did not. I know at least one of my Deadpool’s had a variant as its newsstand. I’ll see if I can dig it out. Haven’t compared them all.
  6. I sold a newsstand recently to see what the market was like and instantly regretted it
  7. Has anyone ever tried pressing a book like these? I just went through and two of the books look like they were damaged slightly in production. Slight tick on the back spine and a slight crease on the bottom. The closest I get to “pressing” is wood, and I can take a ding out of furniture with a washcloth and an iron. Do books like this stand any chance? its keep them or refund since books sold out
  8. I figured as much, but nothing surprises me anymore
  9. Congrats! Yeah with the stock on these if I ever had a chance at a better than 9.8 it’s these. I guess worth asking these days, you didn’t try pressing them right?
  10. Has anyone got these back from CGC yet? I just finally got mine in the mail today and thinking about sending them off, almost curious if they’re too thick with the new cases, but I know nothing
  11. I had a few books and slabs show up the day before they announced the show, now i probably won’t be trying to finish my Bishop set
  12. I had this done for fun, like father like daughter
  13. It’s a great cover, I definitely jumped on the life of version when it came out. i have an absurd amount of Artgerm’s work so i support it. Slab what you like!
  14. I think it always boils down to if you want them or not. I think the hype has fizzled a bit, and I'd imagine you have some "more worthy" books in your collection. Unless these are your first ever books, then go get it man!
  15. I talked to a manager at B&N during an inventory and says they moved to SBT mid to late 2000s from what they could remember. then they asked why I cared and try to explain this debate. Wasn’t a ton of help beyond that as they said it was tough enough to care about the stuff they were actually responsible for.
  16. There was an open infinity watch like listed above with champions and cap lenticular definitely a level of randomness
  17. I’m at Walmart right now I’ll pick one up if people want to know wants in the pack, see if they’re the same pack outs.
  18. Well my excitement lasted for like 30 seconds. congrats awesome haul!
  19. Officially graded and marked done today 4/9 The Savage Dragon was one of the first books I collected when I started, absolutely shocked by the grade, with as many times and years they’ve been moved was hoping for on ok grade. Apparently I took care of my books!
  20. Nice write up and good find. As far as the new 52 I can tell you I do have a Justice League 1 third printing newsstand, so who knows what they were doing there.
  21. OMG it’s happening! Today went to Grading/Quality control! with this wait, I’m glad these are for the most part personal books
  22. Yeah I think I’ll be doing pressing elsewhere from now on if it’s needed. These are all for my PC so I figured I’d save a few bucks, but def thought I’d see them a little sooner. At this point i figure I knew what I was getting in to, but ccs will hopefully expand services at some point. Figure a press is only like 10-15 fast tracked jobs (granted I have no idea what machines they use, but I feel that’s in the ballpark)
  23. Since I dropped them off they’ve all been made in to movies and then rebooted
  24. Update on my earlier post 4 SS modern books slow boat press and grade dropped off NYCC 10/7/18 Invoice from CCS 2/1/19 received 3/5 SFG 3/29 hoping to see them in the near future
  25. For those playing at home, I submitted four Modern SS books at NYCC for press and grade slowboat (10/7). Finally received submission acknowledgement today (2/5).
