  1. This book has been heating up for a while. I sold my 9.8 copy for $1200 in early December. I can live with that price but this is only going to go up in future. When Aphra does get announced in live action this will fly. You really should get them graded as even lower grades will get good prices.
  2. If you really want the money then sell one, but I can see the variant going even more insane once Mile becomes part of the MCU.
  3. Do Disney Pixar Films count? He was Frozone in The Incredibles
  4. Holy Spec Batman! I'd list mine but it's been sitting int he London CGC office since last year. Can't pick it up due to Lockdown. What;s the Raw prices like. I think I've got one in a box around here.
  5. I can't get my head around the Previews and adverts collectors/sellers saying these are first appearances. For me, it's like people buying a trailer instead of a full movie. People can collect what they like and if they want to spend big on them then more power to them but don't make out these are on the same level as first apps. They're a cameo at best.
  6. I have no advice here but wanted to weigh in Cyborg Superman is one of my favourite characters. I think he's underrated in DC. The recent Green Lanterns run where he gets into the power battery was great.
  7. Depends which one you really want. If you want the first in book (aside from 300) then get the 299 so long as the label says Venom Cameo. Personally, as it's gonna be slabbed and I wont (be able to) open the book I'd go for 316. 1st cover and great to look at. And then Lethal Protector #1
  8. Sure you've seen that CGC are now rolling out a Miles label. Be interesting to see if it adds anything to the actual price of grades when being listed.
  9. I have never seen this cover before in my life. I didn't think there was a variant for this.
  10. This is one of the few arcs where reading the tie-ins were in someways better than the main event. The Wolverine tie in and the X-Force ones add a lot to the story, the X-Force one in particular which helps make sense for the ending. I think it's the X-Force (I could be getting mixed up with the main X-Men book) it's the one based on the SWORD station. The 'Survival of the Fittest' is the best kind of retcon/character development. Actually gives depth to him and doesn't just mean he was a madman in the past. Add in his family, you gotta feel for the guy. It's like he can finally turn around and say 'see I was doing it all for a reason!' Hickman has done some good things with characters with his X-Men run, Moira, Apocalypse, Domino, Gorgan. I agree with your analysis of it being like a SF game. It felt a bit like an anime/manga in how they just breeze past some matches. But what gets me is that the fight was always skewed in Karako's favour with the fight of Gorgan and White Sword. The best Arrako could have got out it would be 1 point whereas Karako could have got 100 if Gorgon kept going. Maybe that was Saturne's ploy all along.
  11. I think I'm the only person that actually enjoyed The Joker War. It was Batman being Batman and Joker being Joker. That's kinda all I wanted from it. It acted as a reset for the Bat-family and gave a not more depth to Harley. X of Swords had a great start, a sluggish middle and a good end. Fleshing out Apocalypse and tying it all mostly to his backstory was a great way to freshen up someone who, I thought, was getting a bit stale. It'll be interesting to see where they go from here. Also, it had Magik kicking . I need more of that.
  12. I'd rather they did some DC custom labels than another Marvel one.
  13. Personally, I think it's because of how Miles is being pushed by Marvel to be the new Spider-man and an A-list character (not that there's anything wrong with that). Flash, Thor and Hulk are still the OG's in their universes. Apart from Wally West, who took the mantle in a Barry-less world for 23 years no one would rank the successors over their predecessors. That's part of Miles' problem, how does he become top tier in his own right when Parker is still running things? The Green Lantern thing is interesting but even DC wouldn't claim that there's a standout among them. All these characters are loved in the GL world because they're all markedly different from Hal Jordan and they all have their place as part of the GL team. Jon Stewart became the head of the Green Lantern Corp. Guy became the wrecking ball of the corp, and Kyle became ION and the White Lantern. I like what they've done with Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz and even then these guy have gone up against Darksied and worked with Batman and the Justice League. It's all about the writing and the exposure they're given.
  14. I agree with this. There's a lot of love for the various iterations of Venom (Brock, Flash etc.) and I think this Donnie Cates run will go down as one the defining storylines for the character. Fleshing out the mythology and making Venom part of the fabric of the wider Marvel universe means he's a top tier character now. The Venom movie was alright as a starting point and if Venom 2 is a hit then expect ASM 300 to rocket further. I believe (rightly or wrongly) that characters, no matter their backstory are is still only as good as their villains and having Carnage and now Knull tip the scales for Venom over Miles. Miles has only been around for a blink of an eye and has immense potential but until he firmly establishes himself as THE modern Spider-man with compelling story arcs and villains that spawn crossovers then he's still got a way to go. Saying that, the next decade of Miles will be worth watching.
  15. It's been a good read so far. I heard there were rumours of this being optioned for a film but nothing concrete though.
  16. My favourite second hand sale item is when people list 'unused' mirrors. How are mirrors unused? Does it devalue it if you accidentally look into it?
  17. Something is Killing the Children. Immortal Hulk Venom Justice League Dark Darth Vader DCeased Ice Cream Man
  18. That's the best way to be. That's how I am when I sell on eBay too. I never understand why someone doesn't point out flaws in their listing because it saved so much hassle in the long run. Especially with eBay's policy where they nearly always side with the buyer when they raise a claim.
  19. I think there's a regular cover by Jasmine Putri (think it's her) as well so that will push the print run waaaaaay up. The 10K limit on the other 3 are just variants as far as I am aware.
  20. Did he change though? Even after her got stabbed he didn't really show any change apart from saying Wakanda was beautiful. I agree it would be an interesting take but it'd take some good writing to make his reversal believable. Anything is possible in the MCU.
  21. Off topic a bit, but I don't know how he could be considering his whole mindest and agenda was just trying to create an uprising around the world and went against everything BP stood for.
