  1. I'm glad it happened, from a creator standpoint! Like so many endeavors, it's been interesting to see what's become of the band of brothers who set out on their own. Lee over at DC (Declining Comics), Liefeld out, etc. I guess Moore's run on Supreme is the closest we'll all ever get to an extended run on Superman!
  2. To not chase what everyone is chasing! To not buy when the trailer drops! To let the MOFO's keep their FOMO's!
  3. When I think of the state of DC, and the market in general, I think they squandered the opportunity of a lifetime over their ability to take advantage of a creator, the way they've always done! I always thought he was the best writer ever to grace the medium. I'm reminded of Rorschach's words, "And all the whores and politician's will look up and shout, 'Save us!' And I'll look down and whisper 'No." I always thought his outline for Twilight Of The Superheroes was more compelling than the completed Kingdom Come! Sure, he may be seen as a prima donna, but if there was ever a brilliant creator that should've been kept happy, which they certainly could've done, had they realized he wasn't just another comic book writer, DC might not be circling the drain, as they are today! I guess it's just a case of decision makers presiding over a managed decline!
  4. Quotes heard in the comic room: "I remember when there used to be comic books!" "Where's the bathroom in this furshlugginer place?!" "Do you read them?!" "No! I wait for the movie!" "Hey! The Avengers had a comic book! I wonder if they sell shawarma at the snack bar?!"
  5. If I may quote from the film, The Man With X-Ray Eyes, paraphrasing The New Testament, "If thine eye offends thee... pluck it out!"
  6. I guess with CGC's request to Bad Idea not to sell the invisible books, it's a clear case of now you don't see them, and now you really don't see them!
  7. Expert, texpert, choking smokers, don't you think The Joker laughs at you?! Ho, ho, ho, he, he, he, ha, ha, ha!
  8. Isn't it still a possibility that the grade is what they intended and there simply aren't any notes?! I've heard that 9.8's, among others, ofttimes don't have notes!
  9. This reminds me of the song by Ace Of Base! 🎵 Eye saw the spine [sic] and it opened up eyes! 🎵 I guess the grader never heard the song before! I wasn't sure if I should write [sic] or tic!
  10. At the very least they should lock this thread!
  11. No way to be certain! Their grading criteria is not public knowledge!
  12. I don't know about you, but I'm CGC through!
  13. If a proprietary (secret) standard is changed, how would you know?!
  14. Enough with bringing up the rear! That's their job! CGC's got our backs!
  15. Near as I can tell, he's the invisible man!
  16. I want to see the graders notes, unless they're invisible too!
  17. Appropriate that you never mentioned Ditko's estate as he may have left instructions to reject any Spider-Man money that comes their way!
  18. They're probably just testing the waters for NFT grading!
  19. On the bright side, they may have finally found a solution the the Newton Ring problem!
