  1. Some people are saying the optics of this are bad! You're telling me?! I can't see a damn thing in those cases!
  2. Just remember one thing about that certifiable grading company! Nothing invisible about those resale price premium$! Like Michael said in Godfather II, "We're all part of the same hypocrisy, Seantor."
  3. Maybe they already have, and like the comic, their response is invisible!
  4. The wording on the label isn't entirely clear! It could also mean they haven't checked for restoration at all!
  5. Comics paid for my kids schooling! They attended the School Of Hard Knocks!
  6. Are there any comics with Billie Eilish in them that I can monetize for the long haul!
  7. This reminds me of the lyric to, "Once Bitten, Twice Shy!" My best friend told me you're the best lick in town!
  8. Come on! Deathmate deserves some credit too! "Their Love Will Destroy An Industry!"
  9. At first I thought you were writing about Dori Seda, who also died very young. I'm sure Kalish would be aghast at the state of the new comic book market! They got rid of that pesky returnable newsstand distribution, and the direct market couldn't be called healthy! Rest In Print!
  10. JMS had written them as Peter's offspring, but the higher ups weren''t ready for that so they had Norman become the father! Some thought it compelling. Gwen, previously, the soul of innocence, some said boring, now has a personality. And what a personality!
  11. Definitely some color break there! I hope you got it for half off!
  12. It happened two or three months ago, and since I didn't see any posts about it, I decided to start one. Norman probably told Harry, who along with Mysterio, falsely implanted the sexual encounter in his mind, "Can you put it back in?!"
  13. Gwen never had children! I think it's clone tropes!
  14. They also never retconned Peter striking a pregnant MJ! Mind control or no, they're still able to sell Underoos of the hero!
  15. Not that we'll ever know what truly goes on behind the scenes, but if the thought is that Sins Past was retconned because of #metoo, there are other relationships that fall in to the older man-younger woman category. Kitty Pryde and Colossus. Wolverine and Squirrel Girl. Although they've never been overtly linked, there were implications, and Wolverine's erotic thoughts too!
  16. It turns out Harry was playing with his Father's mind! Until they decide to revisit it again, those with lingering ideas of Gwen's innocence can rest easy once more!
  17. If asking someone to get off your lawn is considered the embodiment of curmudgeonly complaining , have you ever heard a young person, or any person, for that matter, welcoming the neighborhood kids to get on his lawn?!
  18. The Clone Saga (90's) was the last time I recall being engaged with Spider-Man. Don't tell Mary Jane! I hope you've all read The Life Of Reilly, the 35 part, behind the scenes memoir, about what went on during the storyline. The fact that, if we take them at their word, the writers were unaware that Ben replacing Peter wouldn't be permanent, let them go wild doing things they wouldn't have done otherwise. Peter striking his pregnant wife springs to mind. I know! I know! "The artist made it look worse than the writer intended!" The fact that Reilly was written the way Peter used to be, yes, before the marriage, made him all the more refreshing! Yes, the story was extended way beyond anything it should've been! I never liked married Peter, or the notion of him becoming a father, and I despised the resurrection of Norman Osborn to conclude the story, but there were some real fever pitch moments, like Ben finding out he's the original, and Peter hanging up his webs, which seemed like for good at the time! Call me naive, but if the writers thought Ben was going to be the permanent title character, I hope I can be forgiven for believing it too! The 'death' of Doctor Octopus, and of course, the 'death' of Aunt May, all later undone! Sure, it was mostly sand and pyrite, but there was also some real nuggets in the storyline too!
  19. Has their ever been a horror story of damage to a very high dollar book, or does it just seem to happen to those who fly economy (coach)?!
