  1. Front cover isn't too bad -- top right corner, some spin ticks, small bend on right side, larger tear/bend on right side

Back cover is messing up my grading abilities: there's some ticks and minor tears, but then there's what I think is rat chew on the bottom middle; it goes through the book getting smaller and smaller from the back to just before the centrefold. Looks to me like either rat or insect chew, but I don't have a lot of examples of what that looks like exactly.

When I looked at this last night my gut reaction was 1.5 and I still agree with that.

I feel like most books in that condition would get a 1.5. That one I feel would get a 1.8. I think we could crowdfund the cgc submission just to satisfy my curiosity.

  3. I can't even with this book right now. Unbelievable to see it unslabbed.Thank you for that. I'm out of my depth here. I'm thinking a 1.8/2.0 mainly because that backcover is pretty rough and I don't know how hard cgc will hit it even though the front cover is pretty nice. Curious to know the story behind how you go it. But I'm a neophyte so please go with the group's suggestion, this is just my thought.

To obtain a proper grade estimate you will need to remove the book from the bag and take pics of the front cover, rear cover, close ups of the spine/corners, inside front and rear covers and centerfold.

Books are graded by their overall condition, the color breaking crease at the bottom right is not allowed in any grade above FN/VF 7.0, if this is actually a higher grade book, it will take a hit due to the color breaking crease, how much depends on the overall grade of this book.

Agree on removing it from bag - and scans are better than pictures in my experience. I think for CGC grading they are more lenient on creases, I have definitely seen a 9.0 with a color breaking crease.
