What would possess any store to put a stamp on a comic book?

I was definitely thinking 7.0-7.5. Did you have it cleaned and pressed? Also, quick turnaround, did you pay for the expedited service?
I was thinking the same. Figured after C&P it would have gotten at least a 7 with shot at 7.5. And he must've done expedited. I sent in 5 books for grading a week after he created this thread. Just got the notification that they received them today. SMH. Will be several more months before I get them back.

Congrats. I just got back mine SS by Dixon and Nolan 9.6. Can't remember if I did C&P....but now I feel like I should have

7.5 - 8.0 with a few spine dings and if you say color fade. If fading is negligible then possibly 8.5

I would say 4.5 - 5.0 after a C&P possible 5.5

Very Low Grade. 2.0 Unsure if C&P would help too much. Looks like clear water damage among other stains.

4.0 potential of 4.5-5.0 with great C&P results. Would be an amazing book to have.

6.5 to a 7.0 as is and maybe a 7.5 with a good clean and press to get those little bends and dents/dimples out on the covers
Agree with this

With a C&P could potentially be a 6.5-7.0. Does it have the MVS and all pages intact?

AAAaaaahaaahahaaa!
So is midgrade 181 plateauing? I've seen a couple midgrades (5-6) go unsold on Feebay at what appeared to be FMV?
An ungraded missing MVS just sold for $2,726. Probably a 4.5-5.0 grade. An 8.0 CGC graded is currently selling for $8000 with 4 days and 10 hours left.
Update: The 8.0 sold for $8,300

Or option 3 which is a little of both.....a huge wolverine fan so has it and has no plan on selling it, but also happy in knowledge that god forbid I ever need money desperately I have something I can generate cash reasonable quick.
This is me. IH181 has been my grail book since I was a child. Had an opportunity at 11 years old to buy it for $70. Almost got the money from my parents to do so, but then backed out cause for an 11 year old at the time $70 was a lot of money. Plus I didn't get the significance of First Appearance as I had just started collecting Wolverine comics and this was an Incredible Hulk issue. I finally got around to buying a CGC 7.5 for $1,600 in 2016 knowing I'll never sell, but like you said, if I ever find myself needing money, love seeing that a 7.5 sells for around $7,500 plus now. But probably sell sometime in retirement age if at all in a couple decades.

If I have a CBCS Giant Size X-Men am I allowed to post it? Cover is faded, but the rest of the book looks clean..wonder if I had CGC regrade it if it may bump it up .5 or better with a C&P.
X men 4 1964!! Grades is in!!!
