I think slowing a little after a slight rise after a big end of 2021 lowering. What was the general consensus since the new year? The last pages are all over the map back and forth.

Lucky you. What grade would you say it's in? I paid $300 for a graded 9.2 (would've rather paid less for it raw but whatever, I'm not near many stores now). Only one I need is 37 but that shouldn't be TOO hard.

It's one of those evergreen series that will always be in demand even if they don't make a live action, because the anime is so iconic. Like if there was a comic series of Breaking Bad, tv fans would always want it even if there were no reboot. Some of the best art ever in a comic imo, and those covers are the goat- improves even on the Watchmen/Stray Bullets motif of isolating one moment out of context with a single color bar.

How do you press a book at home yourself? What kind of machine do you need to buy? I'd be too afraid of screwing it up, but then, I trust myself more than some of the buffoons who press nowadays...

I have a question about Venom Lethal Protector #1 black cover as graded by CGC, where might I best pose this question?

What are the Thors in the 300 range that got a bump recently from the various MCU shows? (Minus obvious ones like Beta Ray Bill ofc) Off the top of my head, 364-5 (Frog Thor), 372 (TVA), am I missing anything? I seem to recall something in the 380s heating up but can't recall which one...

I hope so, I never got one. Is the time to buy now, or wait a little until the movie is completely forgotten?

I wouldn't agree with the ranges he gave you which are too specific to random dates- I would go by the 'eras' that are generally accepted around them. I consider ASM 1-100 Silver Age, up to 252 Bronze Age, up to the Clone Saga copper age, etc, but your mileage may vary.

It's an absolute ugly mess more worried about "inclusion" than trying to be a piece of art or sell the comic. They made sure to get in a gay couple, an interracial couple, and a fat goth girl for good measure in case anyone felt left out.

Which has the market decided is the book to own for his "first"? 'Tec 523, or 524? 524 seems like it actually goes for more, but I might be looking at it wrong since neither are hugely in demand.

I wonder when this "era" ended. In the way Spider-Man's 80s era probably ended with McFarlane coming on. I would say at the end of Fall of the Mutants with 227, which was coincidentally the same month. Kind of the close of the "classic" 80s era.

Where would I post a WTB for a few random, non-key modern age Batman comics? Nothing too dramatic, but the topics only seem to be for major keys, not piddly stuff like this.

If X-Men #11 is heating up, don't sleep on X-Men '91 Annual # 1. The cover is imo ten times more iconic, it's the one that was used on all the merchandise in the 90s and what people will go for for a nostalgia bump.

I'm seeing a bunch of the NM 98 facsimiles going for cover price or slightly above. I think those few outliers were dupes, or in all likelihood part of the gold rush on all books before the bubble 'burst' last week. I am seeing prices go down across the board, now would be the time to buy some keys you've been waiting for or in the next couple months.

I'm so glad you asked this, I always wonder the same thing. I asked this on a different board once and got less than helpful answers, pretty par the course for that site.

After 357, which issue of Tec is the one to get or at least more desired, 523 or 524 from a market perspective? You actually see his face multiple times in 524 so I would consider that his first over 357, but then again 523 is first "cameo." i don't care about Croccy enough to get 4 issues just for him, my goodness.

Is it really bad to have them close (like an inch away from, not touching) walls that seem to be a little thin and thus open to relatively very cold temperatures? heat isn't an issue but I'm worried the pages will wrinkle if there for prolonged period. But there's not really anywhere else to put it, what am I going to do, the house is what it is.

How does everyone feel about Comic Link? They sent a kind of snotty email to me when I messages them about PayPal, but still, if this is how Connect treats people who win...

With no offense intended to anyone, I think sometimes the reasons for why a particular comic is popping should be detailed if you know, instead of just throwing it out there. We went through three pages of people panicking about Ravage 2099 when it turns out MCP 117 was just for the Venom cover. Just my two cents.

For anyone who has submitted this book to CGC for slabbing, do you know if they charge for the same price as a regular copy of Venom #1 since it isn't an "official" variant, or do have to pay a premium considering it's value? I'm afraid what happens if you submit under one and it happens to be the other...

Seeing ASM 209 (first Calypso) heating up a little bit. People are catching on that if it's an entire movie about Kraven, he'll need a love interest or a supporting cast, and she's pretty much it as far as it goes.

I got one from a pile of about 50 back in 2012 or so so I know mine's legit. Beware of the "all" black ones, if there's a little red foil left not in a perfect pattern, that's how you know it's real.

It's a second print that puts them together. It's silly to argue semantics when little doom already pointed out it's barely cracking $5, I'm just throwing it out there as anecdotal information.

Don't sleep on the second print/variant of that and Superman 190 combined into a "double Feature" fyi, much harder to find.

The one I never, ever found in the wild was Wolverine 27. Someone was arguing with me to be pedantic on reddit (lol) that *they* found it just fine, but seeing as how it's getting a nostalgia bump in all these CBSI articles recently I think there is some truth to it. People just like this cover and always grab it.
