  1. Hi, all! Found this beauty misfiled in my collection and I'm stumped as to whether to get it slabbed. It's got amazing cover gloss you could signal airplanes with, BUT it also has pronounced Marvel chipping across the top. I truly appreciate your input/feedback. Grade? Would you send it in?

  2. Most dealers I know (comics and other collectibles) look at their stuff as a commodity more than something to hold onto for years. If you can own your own business, make money and put food on the table, there's nothing to look back on and regret. You do what you do to keep the lights on.

True. My rule of thumb now that I'm liquidating my collection (slowly) is "don't get high on your own supply." A sale is a sale, and a $50 bird in the hand is worth two $100 birds in the bush.

    (Just wash your hand after.)

    Oh wow, that looked horrible.

It wasn't good. I saw it in the theater when it came out. I was a kid and was introduced through Marvel's comics and magazine adaptations, and read the first paperback in the series.

What seems to have happened, though, is that the studio did a quickie nostalgia cash-in with a campy tone rather than a more faithful adaptation that took the source material seriously. (For example, the musical score was based on John Philip Sousa marches.)

I loves me some Rock, but his tendency to wink at the camera will have to be controlled. Let's have faith in Shane Black, though. I liked "Iron Man 3."

  4. If you want to throw money into ongoing traffic.........Aquaclown and Subby are dead...D...E...D......nobody is banking on 2 guys that swim real good and talk to dopey fishes,or live in some stupid place under water and hates humans.....good luck with that special snowflake story....lol...
