True. But, he mentions earlier in the speech that he would have to order six issues of a new title before the final order cutoff without even being able to sell issue one to customers. That's a pretty big gamble if the title winds up not being any good and no one buys it after the 1st issue or removes it from their pull list. If the first few issues were returnable at least you’d get some of your money back.

That's probably the best suggestion in the speech. It would make the biggest impact on publishers and force them to create better and less monthly titles.

Closing this thread. The UF #4 9.6 and Edge #2 9.6 sold. The UF #4 9.8 did not - Going to hold onto it for a bit and might make it available for sale again someday. Thanks for looking!

Don't really see the appeal to this, personally. If anything I would prefer the labels to be smaller and less obtrusive; your eye should be drawn to the cover of the book, not the label. But hey, to each their own!

You're probably right. Which is too bad - for the price they ask for some books they should at least post higher resolution pictures .

I've had my eye on a book at Mycomicshop for a while. I'd pull the trigger but I'd like to see some more detailed pictures. Specifically of the staples which they noted had 'minor staple rust.' I emailed them and asked if they could send more detailed pics, but have not heard back. Has anyone requested that before and will they do it?

Been to many Phish shows but was never fortunate enough to see the Dead. They are one of my favorites, as well! (but far superior they are not)

Anyone have recommendations for books that cover the history of comics? Something comprehensive that covers the golden age all the way to the modern age?

Agreed. Probably not worth the risk to crack it and press it for maybe a 9.0. Although I think I'll have to reholder to get that piece of plastic out...
