It happens enough that people lucky enough to own the centerfolds of big books ask for insane amounts of money on them, banking on the idea there’s books out there that need em. Yes, you’re right. But I don’t think the price drops on Promise books are because the pedigree itself is unpopular. I think the Promise collection was the “perfect storm” of newbie cryptocurrency collectors along with a new pedigree just coming to market. What could possibly go wrong? The Cap 27 that just sold is a perfect example. Even though the copy in today’s auction had stronger eye appeal than the Promise book, it hammered at a much lower price. After all, the crypto guys have evaporated, and the “perfect storm” that was the Promise launch is now no more than a cautionary tale we tell our children
