  1. Cap 1 and Bat 1 pages are fun to collect, and still reasonably priced. Probably because there’s a lot of those books out there. A Tec 27 bat page or an action 1 Supe page are the toughest and, imo, the most desirable. as @Gotham Kid points out, there’s even a hierarchy within Tec 27 and Action 1, and he has identified the best Supe page
  2. I saw a supe 1 page somewhere yesterday. I think heritage
  3. I was the underbidder on your page, which is a great page. I’m a sucker for the final page, when the caper is wrapped up, with a promise of future hijinks
  4. Hey, ain’t no “one to a customer” limit! I still get excited and double down in my tradition of bad decisions
  5. I posted my crazy opinion earlier in this thread opining how, as the price of keys escape earth’s gravity, individual pages will become a thing. This is how grails will once again be obtainable. well, I have an update! This was being offered on the Bay in the old style auction format. I’d stumbled upon the last 20 minutes of a 10 day auction, and the last minute was intense with bidding activity. I went back after the smoke cleared and counted 11 bids in the last 2 minutes. Reminded me of the good old days when eBay was still eBay. this is the actual page that introduced the world to one of its most famous villains! And it’s now mine. Mine, I tells ya. MINE! and yes, I am just tasteless enough that I posted this twice. Both here and in the “Batman #1 Club“ string. So sue me
  6. I cannot believe it! Just picked this up. It had been months since I’d last scoured the Bay, and I stumble upon this in the first 2 minutes of my foray? It was being sold in the old fashioned auction format with only 20 minutes left, and the last minute was intense with bidding activity. Although this was apparently a 10 day auction I’d stumbled upon, there were still 11 bids in the last 2 minutes. Reminded me of the good old days when eBay was still eBay. this is the actual page that introduced the world to one of its most famous villains! And it’s now mine. Mine, I tells ya. MINE! I’m so excited I’m gonna post this somewhere else
  7. Not really. But if these scans are in response to boardie criticism, I laud them for their bravery. It may affect bidding, but I won't have to be disappointed when the colors don't pop off the books the way they did the scans.
  8. The impression I get is that he is singlehandedly responsible for keeping the investors at bay for another 10 years. One look at his ad sent people back to stamps
  9. As much as I like The Batman here, I hate the mad doctor and his victim. Their anatomy is ridiculous. Actually, they both look like the same guy to me, with that bodybuilder torso
  10. CGC has told me that their holder prevents foxing from spreading. Not true for rust migration?
  11. Did you get that off the current eBay ad? Because mine won’t show that clearly
  12. The scan is so poor I can’t tell what the PQ is. and where’s the back cover on this $130k book? cmon people. We are better than this
  13. Hear that noise? It’s the sound of the other shoe, as it hurtles to the ground
  14. That was new to me, too. But now that we have seen it, can we ever again unsee it?
