  3. I'm sure someone somewhere in the past regrets their decision to clean the cover
  4. He took a lot of grief here on the boards about the whole sordid deal
  5. I can't say about the whole run, but Mr. Mystery ran what many consider one of the greatest stories of all time, The Brain Bats of Venus
  6. The Legless Ace!!?? Well, I guess that's as plausible as any Centaur hero
  7. I’m just a little dog trying to keep up with you guys
  8. Crazy Uncle auctions? well, $80 k seems like a strong price for a 1.5, but I think this has good eye appeal.
  9. Seems like Ornesh Mogo’s 33 has been popping up lately
  10. I just noticed in the new OPG, on p. 90, in Overstreets 2020 market report, that one advisor reported “There has been an upswing in sales of incomplete comic books and even parts of books over the last year as well. Surely this is due to the extremely high price of complete books. I have seen pages of major keys bring hundreds of thousands of dollars.” Excerpt From The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide Robert M. Overstreet https://books.apple.com/us/book/the-overstreet-comic-book-price-guide/id1531161216 This material may be protected by copyright. ok, I call bs on that. This advisor must be jumping from comic pages to original art. To my knowledge, the highest price anyone has paid for a comic page is $25k for page 3 of an Action 1

  12. Ah, no wonder my 8.0 was highest on the census (not counting the Office Mockup copy). Ungraded. Flying under radar, you are
  13. I’m sorry, I have no info. But you may want to correct your topic to reflect Detective 33
  14. Gotta respect this being the first Simon and Kirby collaboration, but what a disappointing cover. This blue bolt guy is supposed to be dramatically busting thru a wall, but all I see is a 2 dimensional image, totally devoid of a sense of action or drama.
  15. @adamstrange, that’s an interesting, non-traditional war cover
  16. Good article. Wertham was nothing but a shock jock in a lab coat who found footing with the weak minded
