  1. From talking to other collectors, it has always been my impression that the grading standards in 2005 were actually more strict than those of 2021. I have heard of many resubmitting books from 2005 era and receiving higher grades in 2021.
  2. This ASM 35 has one of the nicer Stan Lee sigs I've seen, so I had to get it.
  3. I'm wondering what collectors' opinions are on this. I've noticed on eBay that a lot of CGC slabbed comics with custom labels have a higher asking price. I've heard some say that they believe custom labels are just a gimmick, while others are of the opinion that custom labels detract from the cover art of the slabbed comic. I'm still in the air as to what to believe. But, I'm wondering if custom labels will ever become more desirable once they're discontinued?
  4. Cool! Would love to see it!! I've got an ASM 47 5.0 I picked up off of ebay not too long ago. If I'm not mistaken, I think this ish is the first ever Romita work on Kraven.
  5. This one arrived in the mail the other day!! So perfect how Romita puts Spidey front and center in fight or flight mode.
  6. Just picked this one up!! One of my favorite Romita covers.
  7. It was eating me up inside. I love this cover! So, had to break down and also get 24 in 6.0.
  8. Just picked this one up off eBay yesterday. Between ASM 19, 24, and 26, decided to go with ASM 26. Thanks for everyones' advice and input on this! I'm very happy with my decision.
  9. With all that said ... I have to agree with you. ASM 24 is also my fav of the 3 covers. For his artwork on this particular cover, Ditko really hit the mark as far as conveying a sense of movement, disorientation, and madness. Just so hard to decide.
  10. Thanks. Yeah, I've been thinking about this. Though Crime-Master didn't become a mainstay in ASM (he "passed" in the very next ish) this book still constitutes a first appearance. Also, you have a good point, 36 *is* I believe the the 4th appearance of Green Goblin. All really good things to consider when deciding which book to buy.
  11. Hey there. Been following this thread for a while now. Just thought this would be the perfect place to pose a question. I'm currently trying to decide which SA Spidey book to buy. Considering each of these three books have the same grade and eye appeal, which would you choose to buy and why: ASM 19 ASM 24 ASM 26?
  12. I'm brand new to ComicLink. However, I've been winning and losing comic auctions on eBay for about three years now. Do both sites operate on the same set of bidding rules? If I put in a winning bid of $500.00 on ComicLink and the next highest bid to mine is $450.00, will I win the comic for $450.00 or will I have to pay $500.00? Thanks for any feedback you can provide!
  13. This is perfect!! Got it! And thanks for the link!! Feeling younger already.
  14. Looking for some help here. Does anyone remember the issue of ASM where he and Daredevil faced off against Hulk, and Hulk injured Daredevil so badly that he put him in the hospital? Maybe the fight didn't occur in ASM, but I swear it happened. Maybe I'm just getting old but If anyone could please help jog my memory on this one I'd greatly appreciate it!
  15. Considering the comic is kept away from sun and UV rays, and stored in a temperature safe environment, will signatures on SS CGC comics ever fade over time?
