  1. I got doubly inspired by all the Ditko advice, and just pulled the trigger on this gem, as well. Thanks again all!!
  2. I'm really impressed by your thorough collection of raw ASM books!! Congrats on compiling such a complete collection!! Thanks for sharing. Just in case you're still curious, Silver Age ASM typically ends with issue #79, as it is the last ASM book of the 1960s. Bronze Age ASM books begin with issue #80, as this is the first issue of 1970, which is when the Bronze Age is believed to begin amongst the majority of collectors.
  3. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer my post!! It was a landslide, ASM #17 won unanimously over ASM #101!!! So, I took all of your advice, and did the right thing.
  4. Hey all, just looking for a little advice today. I have the opportunity to buy two books, but only have money for one of them. They are both around the same price. One is ASM #17 5.5 ow/w the second appearance of Green Goblin, and the other is ASM #101 7.0 ow/w the first appearance of Morbius. I'm wanting opinions on which one you would buy if you had the chance. I know this is an SA forum so there might be some bias present. But I'm really needing some advice on this one to help me along in making my decision. I'm torn. Any suggestions, pros and cons etc. would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
  5. Yeah, I figured something was fishy with this listing. Thanks for the heads up! If only ...
  6. There's an ASM #13 for sale on eBay. It's a 6.5 white pager. Asking price is only $810.00. Seller is from United Kingdom, and new to eBay with 0 transactions. Seeing as FMV for this book in grade is $2,200.00, I'm wondering if this listing is legit. I've tried to message the seller, but have gotten no response. Just curious, has anyone else noticed this listing?
  7. I've also had this happen recently. I just messaged the seller about the cracked holder, and asked if he would please be willing to refund me the $60.00 it would cost me to have the book shipped back and forth and reholdered by CGC. The seller had no problem with doing this, and refunded me the $60.00 right away. The comic pictured will most likely not have to be re-graded because it doesn't appear that the comic inside was damaged in any way. CGC will not re-grade a comic if it has not been affected by the cracked slab. All you need to do is reholder it, and it will come back in a new case with the same grade and page quality notated on it.
  8. Obviously not a date stamp, but I've seen this stamp periodically. Can anybody shed some light on this for me? Thanks in advance!
  9. Pretty happy with this one, just upgraded from my 8.0!
  10. CGC accounting did the same exact thing to me. I can't believe this is happening! Now, I can't get through to accounting either. I have used CGC services for years now, and am just growing more and more disappointed by this. If I put my credit card information onto my order how difficult is it to use *that* card to process my order? If I ever get this situation straightened out, I've decided to never send any submissions to CGC ever again. I'm done.
  11. Mid grade, yes. But just picked up this beautifully presenting copy of ASM #43.
  12. Since we're showing new additions - - here's my first 2022 SA contribution.
  13. Since ASM 50 is pretty much out of my price range, I am happy to be the proud owner of this ASM 51, first Kingpin cover.
  14. Congratulations on the replacement copy!! It's a really nice looking copy. I bet you're so happy to finally have a Universal label for this book. What a great accomplishment!! And, you made enough off your restored label ASM 5 to pay for nearly half of your replacement. BRAVO!!
