  1. For the record, I put Cap 1 way above Marvel 1 long before the MCU existed. Granted, I could never afford either, but still, my opinion kinda matters. Somehow
  2. Ive heard of people doing this with paintings. A group was trying to do this with a black lotus magic card, and that attempt didnt look good. When you buy a share in a collectible, you cross the threshold into into pure investor. At that point, I'd feel better putting my money into a traditional investment with tax benefits, regulations, and what not like real estate or securities. It says the comic will be filed with the sec, but I dont know or trust hipcomics.com like I do Schwab. P2ll2
  3. Yah, when I first saw this run I was really drawn to it. It has a real old time feel of what they would have thought is futuristic. Gorgeous copies, good luck on your hunt for #1!
  4. Looking at the old strip books, as a lot of the other stuff is way out of my price range, and some of these have fun covers.
  5. I have a dumb question. I was just flipping through a book I picked up from a quarter bin, and noticed it had a mark jewelers and inside the front cover. It's the funky phantom from 1972. Did mark jewelers not do insets with smaller publishers, or is this a variant and most copies of this book have a different ad on the inside front cover?
  6. Book was on a list of the top 10 hottest comics youtube series. Not a fan of the show, but it puts more eyeballs on this book I guess. https://youtu.be/SqQB1KtEubI?t=352
  7. Saucy Movie Tales December. The cover just is a bit off, no gloss and kind of wavy. Different than my other pulps. But it does have overhang. I'm almost thinking that someone tried to clean it 😆
  8. How can you tell if your pulp is an original? I've seen a few different reprints for one of mine online, and they look close. Do the reprints have the same cover overhang, or are there other identifying marks?
  9. Yah, I'm seeing more and more new collectors seeking it out on the other comic forums I frequent. 266, and that other annual he "first" appeared in.
  10. What if isnt cannon, so it's strange to consider it a 1st appearance to me
  11. Probably overpaid, but wanted the book ever since I saw it on here.
  12. I offered 100 for yours, and it auto-declined
  13. Sold for 750. Still a decent price, but quite a drop from the last sale.
  14. Not sure if it could hit 4, but wouldn't surprise me. 2000-3000 would be my guess.
  15. Another one just hit the bay, if anyone's still looking to join the club. Starting 750, looks a bit rough with some loose pages. Thinking it'll end at 1200, taking bets.
  16. Yah, it's kinda rough. I was thinking 500 on the high end. Is there a new movie rumor or something?
  17. Yah was watching that. That's nuts! I feel like I robbed the comic shop got mine at recently, paid a fraction of that. I guess if you come across one in the wild grab it.
  18. Arent people getting it because it looks like Bender from Futurama?
  19. I think I remember a 3.5 going for 1100 a few months ago, and a 4.5 restored went for 400ish. I'd he surprised if this finishes under 450.
  20. A really rough looking copy of the first issue just showed up on the bay. Been watching for a bit, first one I've seen for sale in a while.
