  8. if you want a debate about it, make a new thread, and when I have them time, I'll dig all the old PM's about it. In this thread I'm sticking to what so many people keep getting away from. What CGC did, how they failed, and ways to improve Nothing to debate, it is possible to show a quote of deleted post if you hit the quote button before a post is removed by the mods, even if the reply is posted after the OP's post is removed.
  9. the post was there for less than ten seconds, was not quoted, and he wasnt in the thread during the entire event, didnt post, wasnt lurking. additionally there were also things from PMs, as I said, not going dig it all up, this a digression from my point. Everything thing he has said and done in this thread is attacking people raising legitimate concerns about CGC. Company Man/Mod, clear bias. 1) It doesn't matter how long the post was there, if he hit "Quote" in the "10 seconds" the post was on the boards then it would copy the html from your post and then be there when he submitted his post- no matter how long after your post had been deleted. 2) You said above he quoted you. If he quoted your exact words then he had access to the original post, which is entirely possible if it existed on the boards. 3) How do know he wasn't lurking/reading the thread? Do you have him lojacked?
  10. the subjective and errant nature of the strike has nothing to do with it. You quoted me from a post I made that was the last in the thread, and vaporized seconds after it was made. Nothing is deleted, so you either read it while signed in as a mod, were the mod who deleted it, or talked with the one who did. If you quote a post and can type your reply under it(like I am doing now) but while you are doing so the original post is *poofed* by mods the quote and your reply will still be posted.
  11. That's what I miss most about you being at CGC, when you were there every shipment of CGC slabs at my door contained a handwritten note telling me to have a great day & a sandwich with the crust cut off, just how you knew I liked it. Those crusts we not cut off, I chewed them off And, BTW, I can't understand why you love those gerbil meat & head cheese with ranch dressing sandwiches so much Could be worse, I could like The Grateful Dead!

  17. I know this question wasn't directed at me, but here's my pet peeve with the types of cover you're talking about: boob pockets. What I mean by that is that female characters are typically drawn wearing costumes that are skintight over the whole of their boobs - costumes that would only actually look like that if they had made to measure built-in pockets for boobs to be tucked in. You never see clothes that look like that in real life, because they don't exist. Certainly the female characters in the movies don't appear like that. It's basically just an excuse to draw naked women and pretend they have clothes on. Now for the record, I'm not disgusted or outraged or anything else over these covers. If people want to publish them and buy them, then fine by me. But it does make me a bit every time I see them. Here's a random example of what I'm talking about. What do you think these outfits would look like on the hanger? There are plenty of guys, right here on the boards, that could really use clothes with boob pockets built in.... It's just some winter weight dammit, it'll be gone soon. Well, if winter ever ends here.
  18. This week's pick.... Featured Sketch Cover of the Week Also, alex13 has posted some new sketch covers for sale in the Classifieds- Link
  19. I'd drive a long way (or pay to fly) solely to meet and get Kurt Russell's sig. He's been in most of my favorite movies. There's been something from every decade, going back to the 80's that he's starred in that I still watch today. About 10 years ago I was in CO and drove near his place, then by him out for a walk...if I was only into SS back then!
  20. From the Collection of dscott.... Featured Sketch Cover of the Week
