Post a scan here so we can see it but the issue might be it's the newer version of scanner and you will not be able to get rid of the blurriness. I'm almost certain it's the newer version, my 8500A doesn't scan properly either. We know 8300s are fine, I will look through this thread today to see where the list of slab compatible scanners is(unless someone can find it before me!).

It looks good but has a glare on the top 1/4 of the slab that makes the colors look a little washed out- have you tried scanning it with a piece of solid color cardboard behind it. overlapping all sides of the slab and see if that eliminates at least a portion of the glare? Due to black background I assume you arescanning with no cover/lid.

But is Columbia Comics actually a dealer buying for resale? Yes, and we're gonna have to live with it. There are plenty of dealers buying for their stock here. If they see a good deal, why wouldn't they? I remember that being a point of contention when CGC first started the Forum-Only Selling part of the site, and there was a "wait and see" kind of attitude towards the unfortunate potential of "dealers using forum goodwill to restock their shelves". I think the consensus was that if it got really bad, and some dealers were abusing it, then it would be re-examined. I have no idea if CC is abusing it or not, but even CGC realized that some people are looking to "give a deal to forum collectors" with lower-than-market prices, and are not intending dealers to buy them out and then charge double at retail. IIRC the dealer issue was based on not being able to list "stock" in two places, not who posted items for sale, hence the "Forum Only" sections.

All you have to do is look in Mixed and you can tell. There are DVDs and curtains being sold in there. Its a flea market. Dale, you can actually have posts in all three forums for one thread- the books get parked in Mixed and then use the "Misc Forum Alert! " threads in the other two to promote the thread. It's stickied to the top and has the potential to be seen by everyone entering the forum, which is not the case once a thread falls off the first page.
