  1. That OA is sick Matt!!!! wowsers thanks! just one of those things I had to have. If only more people read Prophet...
  2. Seems we could use a thread like this here. Just unwrapped! Double page splash from Prophet. (Sorry for the not so great pic, but it does not fit on a scanner): Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  3. Personally? It just doesn't display as well. Put my MP page next to some of my cleaner art on the wall and it just doesn't compare. All that said, I think it's a sick page, and couldn't be happier with it. I think it's an A+ example from the series! And once I get a room big enough, it will be on the wall. +1. I prefer art that is "finished"—no blue lines, no paste ups—but nothing wrong with that kind of stuff. This is production art, after all.
  4. Some people like production art, and some don't. Personal taste.
  5. you can, but unless the artist is doing it himself, that is frowned upon. Unless these are blue markers, in which case they are just on there.
  6. awesome page! Is the blue line that prominent in real life?
  7. half my Image comics end up like that...
  8. Its the truth though. Some guys on here think they got gold when a pilot gets shot. Not saying its not a good sign just not the green light one everyone wants to see. well, forget the TV series for a second, because I think that's just extra speculation. If Nowhere Men #1 is a $200 book in 9.8, 3 issues in, with most copies existing in NM because it was hoarded, and a print run of 12K or whatever... how much is TSG #1 worth in comparison? The print run was about a third of that, and most copies were beat up sitting around in stores for a while. It is also way more proven a comic, being 29 issues in, than NWM. Then compare it to PP #1, which sold for, what $625 in 9.8? Now, I know I sound like a shill, but I'm not buying or selling anything. I own my copies and will keep them to myself. Just saying that $500 for TSG #1 is way more sane than the prices people are paying for Image #1s.
  9. I think it would then settle into the "popular but low printed indy book" price tier, similar to things like The Goon...?
  10. with Spider-man, there's a "game changer" every 6 months. Rinse. Cycle. Repeat.
  11. Ok guys, I actually need some ebay advice, despite being a powerseller . Have my Sixth Gun 1 and 2 9.8's coming back. High price with o/bo or run as auction? I'm leaning toward higher price/best offer. Appreciate input. Both. 10 day auction - start at $149 with BIN at $299 Gives you best of both worlds. 299 is too low, cause I would hit that in 2 seconds. And I'm not nuts. (I hope) This book has a print run of 3-4k, is hard to find in grade, and is shooting a TV pilot right now. plus, it's awesome.

  13. Sixth Gun #1 now has 3 sales at $100. Mind MGMT 0-7 just finished at $113.
  14. Matt Kindt's art is very well priced. Painted panel pages were $175, splashes $300. And yes you would become addicted.
  15. I agree, prompted me to buy my first Mind MGMT OA too pics or it didn't happen. It's not in hand yet, so this is the best I can do awesome pickup- I almost bought that page.

  17. How many 2nd print #1s are there? There are only 500 HC 1st editions....
  18. It hasn't ruined mine- I don't collect variant comics. But many in that thread have expressed some disgust, and some have quit the book.
  19. +1. The Nowhere Men thread is a perfect example of how variants and speculation can ruin people's appreciation of a book. It's long term effect on the hobby is distinctly negative.
  20. Hey Eric, I really like your comic, and appreciate the signed copy you'd sent me. I read it on the train home the other night, and might have bent the spine and a few pages in the process. Can't wait to see what happens next. Keep up the good work!
