I know most issues of that title have been very hard to find for a long time
I think you answered your own question. People can make up any excuse they want on why they did or didn't pull the trigger on a book. But at the end of the day, either you own the book or you don't. That Fantastic Comics 20 only has 9 copies on the census, if I collected that title and saw that book I would over pay for it to and hope to upgrade later lol.

Does anyone have any advice for new collectors? Thanks
Have fun, buy what you love, learn to grade your own books. Get some insurance on your collection, I'm still working on that goal myself. Be careful what you post on here. Do not draw attention to a book that you are trying to keep under the radar. I don't care how friendly everyone seems, remember: there be sharks in these waters. Keep asking questions! Pay it forward. Most important: if you find any golden age Wonder Woman books contact me first.

B- I do not purchase books with brittle pages
A- If I really want the book in my pc I could care less if it a 0.5, still no brittle pages
G- I do not like noticeable marks on my slabs, like if I have to walk up to the slab and shine a light that’s one thing but to see it across the room, I won’t pay as much, you never know if CGC will drop the grade on the reholder
C- Depends on the book
F- Could careless
E- Could careless
D- Could careless
I like well presenting copies, if it looks nice on display I will consider it, that being said for me it is a difference between one missing page versus two wraps and a page missing. I don’t care to much about restoration on gold or silver keys. What I consider a key everyone else might not and that is okay lol. I don’t like a million names written on a cover either. I wont drop a whole lot on a book with rusted staples, mainly because if I do buy the book those staples are coming out, could careless about maintaining the blue label if it means saving the book. Just my 2 cents.

Anybody else struggle to keep this book in the pc? Like I could sell today but might regret it in the future. Especially if GL ever takes off. I don't know just a random thought.

One bit of advice I will give to any new DIY pressers is this; if you smell smoke, you have the heat set too high.

The peroxide deteriorates the paper fibers. Anyone doing this is ultimately damaging comics for a quick buck!!! They should be run out of the hobby.
Wait … so THIS is the method some folks use to whiten/ clean a book without receiving a purple label from CGC? Oh boy this thread won’t last long . 😬

Wow congrats ! That's a cool historic cover. The horse looks weird tho, crossed with a raptor.
Thanks man, I call it my retirement book because at the ripe old age of 27 I’m pretty much priced out of the hobby so at least I got my dream book.

Heritage's Next Event Auction has started posting books !
in Golden Age Comic Books

In your opinion sure, even if that was the case , having only part of the book that you want still beats the heck out of not having it at all, especially when it comes to golden age books.
