Thanks, only $100,000 or so and I will have everything in 9.4 or above..........
I think a #1 9.4 alone would cost about $100k.

These came from Dre (Beach Bum)....
Very nice, Casey. I think I am down to only three left of having all the 500s. Man, those issues are a workout.
Thanks, Jim. Tell me about it. I haven't seen too many 9.8 500's on eBay and those I have are priced very high. And I'm having a hard time justifying to myself their price tag when I could use that money to upgrade my SA books which would give me a better return for my buck.

Thanks to BeachBum for Uncanny X-men 498, 499 and 500 Dodson Variant in 9.8.

Not much. Watching V for Vendetta on FX. Saw your purty books. If you decide to sell the 110, let me know.
Nik's just a tease. He threw up his copy of Captain Marvel 25 for me to drool over as well.

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on X-Men 1 and it's investment quality? Obviously, collecting what you like comes first and I still really want to get a copy of this book as part of my collecting focus. But, we all know books like this are also an investment at some level or another, and I'm just curious what your perspectives are on X-Men #1's place in the market (short and long term)?
I would think it has a pretty decent future, especially in HG. For an example, since I bought my copy last July, I have had offers of over $10,000 more than what i paid. SA X-men in general can be had for "relative" bargins even in HG in comparison to FF or ASM. So, I think there is room for it to grow and close that gap. Of course, I am biased.

Just bought my first S.A. X-men book today.
That makes 2 out of 5 grails for me.
Nice.
