Thanks Squidmo + MK!! All purchased with proceeds from selling in the market thread. Who needs feebay when we have these boards? Had my eye on 3 of these books for awhile so when two other deals fell through, I went for it I already had a 9.4 #56, but wanted the White Mountain copy which it turns out is the superior book.
Stick with these early issues and stay away from the Hulk issues...
Gorgeous books!!!

Just got these and I'm lovin' 'em
Oh, Man. Those are nice TTAs.
Gorgeous books!!! Too bad I couldn't afford to start my run with the earlier issues...
Congrats!!!

Two books from my want list...very nice!!

Nice set of books...I love that # 1!!!It has always been a dream of mine to own the original 6 Hulk books in FN+ or better. Actually I would like to own them in NM but who can afford that anymore.I have 4 of the 6 so far and a Hulk #2 in at CGC and a deal going with a board member for the #3...all I have to do is see the scans to finalize the deal.
Here is a picture of what I have so far: #1(CGC 6.5), #4(CGC 7.0), #5(CGC 7.0), #6(CGC 6.5)
Sorry for the poor photo but I did not have time for scans.
I will have the other 12 centers up soon. Post them if you have them.
-
I need to check but I am pretty sure the 104 is a pedigree. I will post a better scan tomorrow.
Isnt the 104 a Northland? With Cream-Off white pages
That's what I was thinking...I passed up on that book about a year ago and have regretted it ever since (the cream to off-white pages was the hold up)...when I changed my mind and went to purchase it, it had been sold a week earlier...
If you're interested in selling it (and it's the 104 NL)...
-
Thanks!! Looking forward to seeing it...
-
Here are a few more...all 9.4.
Nice books!!! Any pedigrees in that lot???
Trying to put together a database of Hulk Peds...
-
And here's a split cover whose image is no longer available on the thread:
Very nice colors on this one...looks better than my 9.4...

Spidey versus Giant Man (second copy of this ish posted, but I couldn't help myself):
Gorgeous book and a ped to boot!!!

Kovac, just so you know, if Doug's run was in the 59-101 category his total comes out about 25,500 points...approx.
.....so if we combined total from the currnet top 3 we'd have that total!
Ok, not an entirely feasible goal post to aim for, actually make that completely unfeasible!
I see, I see.......................... Let me get this straight: What your proposing Mr. Pym is a strategic alliance, a pooling of our individual assets to create the Uberset,
the one weapon that could defeat the evil Darth Schmell at his own game! Why, its brilliant! He'll never see it coming! Comic collectors sharing! A possible sign of the Apocalypse, but there it is! Nothing's impossible after this!
BTW, what will we call this new set? Mr Bigvac? Big Pym Saga? Pymkor Fan?
Mr Hulk Saga? And I call dibs on the set for the winter when I need them most! You guys can fight for the remaining 8 months of the year! What about shipping?
Big $$$$ there! For Bill and I its no problem, we could drive them to each other's houses, but the whole set to England?!?! We'll have to work that out.
I like
Big Pym Saga

Sorry Bill , its all Pym's fault!! One of these days, who knows when, my books will be yours anyway so I'm just keepin' them safe until then

A recent acquisition:
Snap!
So what are the chances of you listing your TTA's in the 59-101 registry run as well?
Nice Northland!! As far as the registry, you talked me into it!!!
...Thanks Stace...now I won't be # 3 anymore...

I recently posted my undercopy, but just received this "over" copy which I have been looking for for a while. 2nd highest graded with only 2 8.5's ahead of it. The first prototype Hulk appearance!!

Thanks for the quick payment!!!
-
Kudos to Arexcrooke and BIghulkfan both, for very smooth trades on some great SA.
Right back at ya
-
It was a Northland...one of your favorites
...
Oops...crossed off the wrong book...still a nice pick up though!!!
-
Here is one of my favorites (although low grade). This is the first "prototype" of the Hulk. Actually the story is pretty bad and doesn't really have anything to do with the Hulk as we know him today. But still, it's a character named the Hulk and I'm a BigHulkFan, so I had to have it when I finally saw it on ebay. Paid guide for it which is OK being that every time I see it it's multiples of guide no matter what condition it's in.

Figured I'd jump into the fray.
Here is issue # 66 in CGC 9.4 (old label). This issue is the toughest Hulk/Giant Man issue to find in high grade with this being the only 9.4 and only 2 9.6's trumping it. This trails only issue 77 in high grade rarity for the Hulk issues and is tied with issue 77 with 3 issues in 9.4 or better. I was lucky enough to pick this issue up from Doug at Pedigree when Steve decided to sell off his TTA's. Considering what the 9.6 issue of 78 went for recently on pedigree (1250.00), I consider this book at less than half of that a steal.
