  1. Never saw that cover before...I like it
  2. It seems that for subscribers paying $10/month they could enter this data manually (or pay me in comics to write a screen scraper that pulls the data out in a nice fashion).
  3. Fine, here you go...Marvel Team-Up #12 I was really happy to get this one because this comic was one of my first bronze age comics.
  4. Amazing Spider-man 1 (9.6) over Action 7 (8.0): Action 7 was overpriced in my mind, though I would rather have a nice AF15 Sub-Mariner 1 (7.0) over Tec 35 (3.5): 1st issue, cool war cover, higher grade
  5. Stryfe's Strike File - triple cover - my 2nd triple cover
  6. Marvel 1 over Fantastic Comics 3 (not even close) More Fun Comics 54 over Marvel 1 (that Marvel is just too crusty for me at this point) Detective 27 (7.5 PLOD) over More Fun 52 (6.0): you gotta love the bats and pick up a beautiful copy when you can Batman 1 (9.0) over Flash Comics 1 (9.6): Batman is more important, better known, and features the 1st Joker and Catwoman. I don't really care who owned or found a book, so pedigrees don't really matter to me. Marvel 1 (5.0 October) over MMC 9 (8.0): Very easy pick for me here. October is uber-rare so definately that one
  7. Nice. I prefer the Shadow table group and the More Fun mirror.
  8. Marvel Comics 1...Larson, higher grade, 1st appearance rather than 1st character series
  9. For $21K+ I would have to go for the 'Tec 29. I just couldn't feel good paying that for the Daredevil (though it is a great cover).
  10. Mine is about 7.0/7.5 and I don't think Joe bid...he probably already had a 9.4 copy or something. Where is it for sale at?
  11. The prices paid for double covers has really changed over the last few years, so it is hard to tell. When I bought my double cover Hulk 180 (woo hoo!) there was gijoed and maybe 1 or 2 others collecting off of eBay. Now there seems to be a much larger crowd that are going for them. I really have no idea, but I doubt you would see any where near 10x. The formula seems more like 4x + $15 for the prices.
  12. Tec 38 over Startling. Key, Larson, older. Batman 1 over Action 1 (maybe). Unrestored beauty.
  13. Hmm, didn't noticed the missing chunk of spine on the Cap 2. I guess I will go for the Action #3 then.
  14. Wow, triple covers are rare enough and an accidental quad cover is a great find!
  15. Ian, so you going to collect every Timely/Marvel now?
  16. I toured the HD plant in York, PA when I was in college, but it sucked because it was the one day that the ENTIRE production line was closed down because of one missing part. I will need to go back and check it out again.
  17. What exactly was the apology for? Taking a long time to send the money back or for manufacturing double covers?
  18. Wow, another double cover mislabeled (should say 9.4, not 9.2). CGC needs to stay on top of that.
  19. Flying out to buy Frazetta OA? Who's selling? j/k ... I was referring to the Thun'da pages mentioned above
  20. Nice books everyone! I especially like the double 9.6/9.6
