  1. How did you earn the credit? Was it something that they gave you as a bonus for your purchases, or is it actual money that you paid and are owed back (from returns, etc)?
  2. I know it is from the "Other Company" but it is a great book
  3. That was a tough one. First I was thinking Wings Comics, then Planet Comics, then I tried early Tecs. Nice job
  4. Iron Man #34 (one of two on eBay a few weeks back)
  5. I disagree. That times change? It was 1:45 when I started reading this thread and it is 2:05 now I am up for giving people a 2nd chance, just be careful.
  6. Smilin' Jack is kind of a Clark Gable character. He was very popular and in Popular and Large Feature Comics 25. bb My grandfather served in England with Clark Gable during WW2, and for some reason I think Smilin' Jack saw a lot more action than Gable
  7. Good question. I wonder if that is within his collection genre? I remember him grabbing a triple cover PGX 7.0 Timely a while ago, but he may have got that more because it was a triple cover. I really wish I had bought that comic.
  8. Nice. I wonder if gijoed will bite at that.
  9. I have heard about this rare first appearance of Tarzan pulp...does anyone own a copy?
  10. Is "neither" an option? Neither book in the low grades they're in do much for me. I might go for option "C" also because they both have a lot of defects and I would rather get an Amazing Fantasy 8.5...wait that can only get a 8.0...actually 7.5...now that only gets 7.0...! Okay, give me the All-Story since it is more important and rarer.
  11. BB-Gun got it a few posts back with Mystery Men #5
  12. Here's another image from the cover. This will probably be the last clue for the evening. I'll post more images tomorrow if no one guesses the comic tonight. That last picture made me think of Detective Comics 11, but that isn't it
  13. Occasionally I post something that elicits a response. So, Jack, you've reread all 749 pages of this thread? I actually went through this entire thread over the last 2 weeks and checked out your incredible collection again. I keep forgetting about the breadth of you collection. So, do you collect baseball cards too? Have a certain Honus Wagner card you want to share with us? Thanks for the years of sharing!
  14. kryptospidey, do you and JC hang on weekends?
  15. No matter what the flamers say, I love McFarlane Great double cover!
  16. Okay, I am going to change my vote. I just saw the new Action 1 pictures and the pages are nice and fresh. The spine looks great too and the colors are quite vivid. I am throwing my support behind behind Action 1.
  17. Church AA 16 for me. The book is just too darn pretty!
  18. Yes, I have an Journey into Mystery 112 where the inside cover is missing the top corner, but the outside has it. I have seen this defect on a few other double covers also.
  19. Picked these up a few weeks ago... Magnus 19
  20. Very nice DD 131! I wonder how many times per day gijoed checks for new double covers? I can't believe he hasn't snapped up that double cover FF 108 yet, but maybe he is waiting for price drop. I would love to see his collection some day.
  21. MMC 9: I love the other cover, but that old Timely is just too cool and more lasting appeal Walt Disney 134: Finally, a comic I actually own! Beagle Boys were great.
  22. Thanks for recommendations BangZoom!
