  1. Well, to be fair, the magazine in question is pretty obscure....
  2. Ok, think 70s magazines. Think artist and inker. There is one person in that picture that everyone here knows. Again, not recognizable, at least by me.
  3. Should I post the answers to the Trivia Questions yet?
  4. I have no idea, but I think as a buyer you should be able to make inquiries as to FMV, especially in today's market. Good luck to you.
  5. The hint is that one of them is incredibly well known, but apparently not recognizable. I didn't recognize the person and I am still kind of scratching my head in disbelief. But I have not seen a lot of photos from this time period of the person, so maybe....
  6. You are incredibly close, in like 3 alternate universes you would be spot on.
  7. Here's the latest Ross Andru Trivia Questions. 1) Name anyone in this photo from 1972 2) What does the guy on the floor have to do with Ross and Mike Esposito illustrating the Amazing Spider-Man? (it's not a direct correlation, but an interesting story, nonetheless. )
  8. I have no qualms mailing it to any others who might want a shot at dethroning your sister.
  9. Mrs. Spider-Variant - One Hour and 6 minutes, but she did drop two pieces on the floor that she didn't realize until she was nearly done. She might give it another try.
  10. Yes, but they don't differentiate (at least the last time I checked anyway) in the census if the All Detergent variant is stickered or non-stickered, so someone would have to share it.
  11. In the photo I sent of the completed puzzle, doesn't it look kind of like the puzzle is floating above the counter top?
  12. Apparently, I'm only faster than your nap-taking Mum. Mrs. Spider-Variant may give it a go later today.
  13. Ok, going to give it a go after work today. From box closed, to full puzzle complete. There are 180 pieces, so to go under one hour, you need to complete one piece every 20 seconds.
  14. Hey @Get Marwood & I, the package has been delivered. Very nice job of packaging my friend. May give it a shot later tonight. Does the timer start when I open the puzzle box? Or do I put all of the pieces out of the box and right side up, then start the clock? Either way, I'm going take care of putting this puzzle together like Professor Warren took care of Anthony Serba!
  15. These are not the puzzles you are looking for (hand signals for postman to move along).
  16. Hey, @Garystar disregard. I just checked the ASM 53 example again on the splash page. The original, Masterworks, and Essentials all have Backgrounds by Mortellaro, so not sure what I was thinking. That's the earliest one I found. I swear though there was one that didn't make sense.
  17. If anyone wants to look at the issues I don't have anything listed for and see if they can find something, that would be cool. I don't think Dave worked on issue 155 though. In Issue 166 I found some Xs on a painting, but I don't think they were the famous XX though. Sure @Get Marwood & I's half-eaten Twinkie is available as a Prize and just as tasty as when in bought it in 1977.
  18. Ok, so now if I lose to your Mum, I will be officially the worst crossword puzzler ever. I do like her style, I will admit.
  19. That's my recollection. I think I discovered this in looking at ASM 53, which was the earliest I had found. It struck me odd, because the next one I could find was much later. When I was doing my research, I think I used Marvel Essentials, but when I looked up a copy of the original, it wasn't there. Think there was at least one more I found like that before I gave up. It's a fun project though, give it a shot.
  20. Gary, if you look in this thread you will find a panel by panel breakdown of all the times Dave Hunt used "XX" during his background work. I think I found one more since I posted that. Below is the full list of Dave Hunt's hidden credits. I started one for Tony Mortellaro, but it gets tricky. In the reprints, sometimes Tony would add his famous "backgrounds by Mort", where in the original it didn't exist. So, if I used Marvel Essential or Marvel Masterworks, I would have to know where they got the art to see if it was truly there. Not wanting to expend the brain cells, I gave up. If you come up with something, let me know and I can compare it with what I have. I posted Dave's list below as text because whenever I post it from Excel, it tends to lose resolution. Benjamin was Dave's son, so lots of shout outs. There are some other names he used on buildings and signs, but since we dont know who they are, I didnt list them.
