  1. The Graphitti Gallery Edition of Brian Bolland's Killing Joke & Other DC stories will be published this year. Similar in format to the Gallery Editions of Dark Knight Returns & Sandman, reproducing pages scanned directly from the original artwork. We have most of the Killing Joke scanned but are still looking for some missing pages and having a last push now in the hope of locating the pages before we go to print. So please spread the word.

It's not just the Killing Joke story - we are also including Brian's interior stories from JLA 200 and Batman 400, among others. Plus covers from Wonder Woman, Invisibles, Camelot etc

(The only pencil prelims will be from Killing Joke.)

    Cheers

  2. I was offered the Dredd page years ago and realised that there was significant fading. I think it had originally been framed and if eg you compare the rear crowd figures in the printed page you can see that they’ve almost faded away entirely on the drawn page.

  3. Joseph from BritComicsArt.com here. I’ll be walking the floor at Heroes Con in Charlotte on Friday & Saturday and will have some artwork with me. Including some prelims I just got from Brian Bolland and other new artwork not on the website.

You can message me via my CAF or the BritComicsArt.com website. I’ll have a US contact number at the show.

FYI I won’t be logged into CGC most of the time so not a good idea to try reach me that way.

    Cheers

  4. Warrior #1 "V For Vendetta" Story Page 1 Production Stat (Quality, c. 1982).

"V for Vendetta" was first published in the black and white magazine Warrior in 1982. Shortly after that, David Lloyd raffled off Page 1 of the story at a signing event in London. At that time this production stat was made by Lloyd. This is the very stat used by DC Comics when they reprinted (and colorized) the story for their V For Vendetta mini-series in 1988. This stat is signed by Lloyd and the DC publication stamp is on the reverse side of the page. The stat measures 14.25" x 18.75".

Currently for sale at Heritage Auctions and ending Sunday 19th June.

If all this hype is to be believed, you soon won't be! :tonofbricks:  Me neither. That's not the sound of her wings... It's the sound of us all getting priced out.

I heard that warning sound when the Season splash with just Destiny hammered at what I thought was an astounding $30k+. (To think I made my other half leave a family lunch early for that  )

I think that Lucifer one may be a little high, but the Death page will go for much higher.

Death's been a much bigger thing for longer, and is far more important of a character to a lot of people. How many cosplays or commissions do you see of Lucifer Morningstar vs. Death?

And this checks all the boxes of what you'd want - first appearance, great page, and even interacting with Dream.

I'd say maybe 150 for the Death one

I don't want to slam the price of the Sandman #4 page too much publicly but I can't agree that it's a 'little' high. And the page was initially priced higher.  To expand, I also attribute very little value to the 1st silhouette of Lucifer. In my opinion the Death page is far more desirable than the Lucifer but as Simon has already noted, the asking price does not equal market valuation.

I own a Sandman 8 page and if the market value is really well into 6 figures for a page from that issue then that means the offers for my page are....lowball. (Regardless I'm not looking to sell).

Large Mike Dringenberg Death painting.  Not sure if this was published, but the back says that it was auctioned off at the 1990 San Diego comic con.

It's only been a month since the last update and your concerns about me are appreciated. But if you were really concerned, you'd send over a massage recliner with as many airbags and motors as a car.
