  1. Well looks like ive just joined the club. Was surprised at how valuable some of these were when looking to flair my BCW box.
  2. My first signature series and a cover im so happy to finally see in person (Whoops sorry wrong thread, not a “newsie”...)
  3. Hah, I always thought the misalignment was some artistic flair or something but was the same for all issues. But now it has been brought to my attention it can be all over the place.. Ill never be able to UNSEE it.. Not sure how i feel about this.
  4. Lol, ah heck. So insurance is only if its completely damaged or lost?
  5. Ive seen a few scary stories on the subject in the Restoration Issues sub forum. Even ones where CGC appears to be at fault, yet you still get stuck with the lower grade. IMO, you would think thats when insurance comes in? No idea how that works tho.. But if its just some minor tick that takes you down .2 pts, how would you ever prove it?
  6. Oooh, such a nice book and prompt next day shipping! Thanks for making it easy Galen!
  7. Im in the same boat as OP. I only started seriously collecting a couple years ago. Ive wanted and wanted ASM300 for a long time and decided against getting it in 2018 for $200-300 as I didnt have as much income and I figured that $ would be better spent starting my collection with multiple other books. Now my income has increased dramatically and I have a good foundation for my collection. I feel like these prices cannot be sustained just because of how common it is, but I was wondering..... How often has this book substantially lost value prior to 2018? I assume this is not the first time its skyrocketed? Wondering what it looked like last time it came down... If it even did.
  8. Ooh that is a good point. Especially if they order some books from them. Now their catalog has a bunch of new media for a few bucks each. Why not see what happens...
  9. I always thought diamond had too much of the market and this feels like it could be good news? I only started seriously collecting 2 years and was dumbfounded that all the major publishers print from the same roof. At the time I attributed it more to the state of this hobby being in decline as I have seen similar things in my other hobbies (Looking at you Horizon Hobby). Just hope this isnt Marvel's excuse to also jump to $5.99
  10. Ooh thanks for these links. Ive been looking for some UV protective cases for slabs. Downstairs where the sun light isnt so bad Ive used those holders fission bomb linked. Work a bit better then thumb tacks and helpful for centering for me
  11. Ive been a fan since 93' and read them all. Spawn is responsible for getting me into comics, twice(!) (once when I was a kid and once when I found my old spawns a few years ago). I like the new comics and story, but I found myself reading with much more enthusiasm on earlier runs (pre-250). I dont care much for she spawn, new NYX or a new costume. I'd take Capullo art over Alexander art any day as well. With that being said the story is still kinda early and hints at some big things coming, so hopefully im pleasantly surprised.
  12. Im new to the scene, but I did like having so many options to choose from initially. It also gave an opportunity to get a relatively rare comic for an issue thats not all that rare and felt like a more robust market with choices with some artists I really enjoy. But its always been a PITA for me to just see what variants are coming, whos making them and which one I really want. My LCS feels like their hands are tied because they can only get select variants. I have subscriptions with my LCS, but then see some fresh variant from some other mint online and end up buying it and getting multiple copies of the same issue for ones I really dont want. I realize they do this to sell more comics, but would be nice just to see every variant they are printing and let me choose before its out at least.
  13. Ive always had issues getting into X-Men comics. Im happy to say these are a wonderful surprise and I find myself quite excited whenever I get one. Great Story.
  14. Another quality shipment from Shane. Appreciated bud
  15. Thats a wicked site! Thanks Valiantman. Was wondering if anyone had a 10 for Venom #1 (2017). Looks like I could lose all sorts of time here
  16. Why would established writers get so pissed? I mean did "Established movie writers" get pissed when Stan started helping with movies? I mean sure it might take away a job opportunity in the short term, but long term I think it would just create more interest in comics and have something new.
