  1. Some of you are outraged about this going on but are OK about contacting an eBay seller about ending auctions with bids already placed in the General Forum thread? Hypocrisy at it's worst... I guess it doesn't matter until it effects you directly... Jim Don't cloud the issue with ethics. Ethics has nothing to do with it... You hear outrage here about suspected underhanded tactics but then you hear the opposite when discussing a similar tactic used on eBay. It's so hypocritical, it's laughable... Jim I think there is a difference though JIM. eBay - Book has a bid. Someone offers to buy the book and cancels the person's bid. Here - Book SELLS. Someone has the same book and offers it to the winner for less resulting in that person backing out of a completed transaction. It's a moot point anyway as i believe there was no "other person" and it was just a lame excuse to back out.
  2. freaky Most certainly captain Hasn't this person been a little shaky in the past as well? Same guy with the most frequent posts of, "Do you have this book?" (that you don't have), and "Darn, I needed that one, just missed it." Etc. My favorite one time classless comment was, "Can I have a picture of your wife, then?" There was another similar distasteful comment he made within the last couple of weeks. Wish i can remember it now because i did a double take. Of course the "wife" one in Pat's sick dog sales thread was
  3. I have a pretty good idea who the buyer was. All you need to do is look at Collin's Captain America thread to see a couple of sold books are available again
  4. Is this actually happening, or are you assuming this is why people are not honoring their ? I'm also getting annoyed at posting the to find the books been sold via PM. I guess it happens, but sellers should then update their thread much faster. Sorry if this second rant belongs somewhere else. just what i'm being told "Sorry. I recieved another offer from a board member is it ok if I cancel. Sorry I didn't tell you sooner I've been so busy. " Sorry. I had the book that you sold and couldn't help myself offering it to your customers Seriously, name and shame the people that backed out
  5. Kudos to Lantern for quick payment on the Wolverine book. Thanks Brian!
  6. Sorry to hear about that Angelo. He is well known around these parts for screwing people over. All you need to do is use the search function and you'll find another 30 people he has screwed over the years, some for thousands of dollars. Hopefully you get paid but you just need to look at his recent eBay feedback to know he is in one of his ruts at the moment (it's a bi-annual breakdown) it seems

  11. You bought that! No, don't open it. Even if you CGC it and it gets a high grade it won't be worth as much as it is sealed.
