  1. Hi, the four standard size reprints of the oversized tabloids - I always thought that they say "second printing" in the indica because they reprinted the original books. Now I see that there are "first printings" also. So how many printings do The Uncanny X-Men and the New Teen Titans Superman and Spider-Man Superman vs. the amazing Spider-Man Batman vs. The Incredible Hulk have ? What does your copy say and where did you get it from ? Best regards, Archi
  2. Hi ! Great opportunity to complete our comics ! I have a cover for Action Comics No. 94 either for sale or in search for a coverless copy. I have a coverless copy of Action Comics No. 145 either for sale or in search for a cover. Thanks ! Bye, Archi
  3. I got the indica for the 11th printing of cover number four so this question is solved. Let's hope you can answer one or more of the other questions, too !
  4. Hi Raze, thank you very much for your reply ! The reason for my questions is that I want to know for DKR when they changed to the yellow cover, and if they started the numbering anew. Same question for DITF, when did they change to the black cover. I searched the boards and the internet and was able to find some information, but no answer. Hope that you can help me ! Bye, Archi
  5. Hi, I currently try to figure out how many printings those Trades have. 1. "Batman: The Dark Knight returns TP" There are five different cover: a) first one is Batman with the big lightning in the background b) second one is with the lettering "10th Anniversary" and Batman sitting on the cable c) third one is without the lettering "10th Anniversary" and Batman sitting on the cable d) the fourth one is Batman's head and a lot of yellow around him e) the fifth one is with the lettering "30th Anniversary" Now my questions: a) do you have the first cover with a printing later than ten ? b) do you have the third cover with a printing other than five ? c) do you have the fourth cover with a printing lower than six ? If you can answer one or more questions with yes, can I see a picture of the indica ? 2. "Batman: A death in the family TP" Do you have a tenth printing of this book ? If yes, can I have a picture of the indica ? 3. "The Batman strikes Free Comic Book Edition" Does your copy say "second printing" in the indica, too ? If no, can I have a picture of the indica ? Thank you for your help ! Bye, Archi
  6. Hello, I haven't found a thread with this topic, therefore the new one. I did some research over the last few weeks and the following questions remained without answer: 1. Does anybody know when this trade was distrubuted ? There seems to be a disagreement if it was in 1989 or in 1992. Unfortunately neither side had some source of proof for their statement. 2. Does anybody know where this trade was distrubuted ? The location might help to find out the right date ? 3. To the owner of this book: Can you tell me which color the stripes at the top of the trade has ? This is easy to see regardless if the book is still unopened or not. 4. Does anybody have an open copy of the trade ? I would like to know if the books used were newsstand copies or direct copies. Maybe @Moondog knows something about this ? Bye the way, for all the newer collectors: I'm talking about this book: Best Regards, Archi
  7. Has there any new information surfaced after the last fifteen years about the Taylor's Christmas Tabloid ? Does anyone own the Overstreet Price Guide #18 and can tell me who wrote the article with the picture of the Superman sketch above ? Best regards, Archi
  8. Does anybody have a picture of the indica of the book ? The picture flatrock02 posted is not available anymore and he seems to have been on the boards last in 2012. I would appreciate a picture of the indica very much - I'm currently listing all those Christmas books with their differences and every other information. Thanks in advance, Archi
  9. I'd like to second that question. @Metarog Did you ever get a reply to your question in 2012 at the StlComics board ?
  10. David, thank you very much for your answer. The problem with the ads in this reprint is, that the time range is very big: 11.12.1990 was the shipping date for the Flash Hardcover 21.05.1991 was the shipping date for the Batman Full Circle 20.08.1991 was the shipping date for the Flash TV Special I don't find a reason why DC would promote books from such a different time area. Furthermore I don't understand why DC didn't fill the blank pages with more ads - I would do that, it's a cheap methode to sell books. On the internet I found a website which says that the store date for this book is November 30th, 1990. But I don't know where this information comes from. My only hope now is that I find an ad for this Action #1 reprint in the 1990/91 books from DC. Thank you again for your help, and thank you for the link to the thread from 2018. I missed that one. Archi
  11. @David Buck Hello, I am sorry to be off topic, but you seem to be the right person to ask: Do you know the origin of the Action #1 reprint from 1990 ? The one with cover price 50 cent in the black box ? Was it part of a collector's set or pack or came it with an action figure or something else ? Best regards, Archi
  12. Give me a few days to see if she responds. If not, I will come back to you !
  13. @ADAMANTIUM: Oh, I didn't know that. More important, I don't know why there is a difference. Thank you for pointing that out to me !
  14. @James J Johnson: I did found the address and the phone number also, but there are several reasons I didn't phone. First of all, when you ask somebody a question on the phone, the person is forced to answer immediately. He/she doesn't get enough time to think about the question to give a thorough reply. In my case this was the main reason for deciding against phoning. Also I wasn't sure if I got the right person's data. As far as I remember, there were several addresses given in Florida which left me unsure if I'm on the right track or not. The least reason is that I don't like talking on the phone. Sometimes you don't understand what your partner meant and you jump to the wrong conclusion. In mails or boards you can reread answers and think about what was meant without already talking about the next sentence. And last - the reason I hate the most, but still - I also want to give the person who doesn't know me the possibility to not answer. I absolutely don't like it when I send an e-Mail and do not get a reply. I always reply to questions or suggestions or whatever. But some people don't and it's their decision and I have to respect that. I tried to contact her now on Twitter. Let's hope I did it right and let's hope she is polite enough to answer. Thank you all for your help ! Archi
  15. @MasterLogan2000: Found it "If you include multiple usernames in your Tweet, all of those people will see your Tweet in their Notifications tab.". I always looked in the "message" section. Thank you !
  16. So I write the message on my Twitter account, and then I write @theCapraAegagrus and she gets notified ? I'll try this immediately ...
  17. @Kav: This is a good idea, but I don't find such a feature. Is there anybody here who is on Twitter and knows how you can reach somebody ?
  18. @FlyingDonut: Thank you for your help, but I can't send her a message. Twitter says "You can not sent a person a message until the person befriends you".
  19. Does anybody have any other ideas ? I wrote to Capstone, but got no reply.
  20. Yes, I saw them and finally convinced myself to register at Twitter, since I read that on Twitter you can send personal messages. Turned out that after registring and writing the message I got the note "You can not sent a person a message until the person befriends you". Great job, Twitter-creators ! And for the publisher: As far as I understood it, she wrote quite a few books for several publishers. I didn't find "her" publisher to write them a request. How do all the freelance artists get their work when they are not contactable ? Is there some secret club where only people in the business have access ?
  21. Hi, I have a question, which I hope somebody can answer: I want to contact Mrs. Laurie S. Sutton and ask her about a comic book of the 80s, which she edited. I tried to find her e-mail-address but had no success. I tried to find other ways to contact her but had no success. Is somebody here who knows how to reach her ? I can also send the question to you and you can forward it to her if you don't want to or are not allowed to share her address. I only want to know or hope that she remembers the time when she had to do with this book. Thank you in advance, Bye, Archi (dc-archiv@gmx.net)
  22. I wanted to send you an excel file via pm, but xls is not allowed as attachment here. Since the list contains 183 entries it's probably not useful to make a gif or jpg. How can I send the list to you ?
  23. I know I'm a little late to the party, but is your request still valid ?
