I had a nice Shazam #1 up for $56 for a couple of weeks and sitting in a few buyers carts. Ebay kept sending me those annoying messages to drop the price and seal the deal! Rather than drop it I bumped it up 15% to $65 and it sold the next day. Not sure if it was one of the people who had it in their cart. Lesson of the day, don't under price your books, people will think there is something wrong with them.

UPDATE !!! So I started asking if centerfold was attached on this book before purchasing on ebay. Three different sellers looked and found out that their B&B 60 did indeed have a detached centerfold, one of them lowered the price enough that I grabbed it anyway. I also came across a copy right before it was ending and went ahead and took a chance. Of course, loose centerfold . There was the the boardie selling a VG copy that I asked to check the centerfold for me, after checking he did a light pull on the page and is now the proud owner of a loose centerfold copy!! I now own 8 copies with 7 of them having completely loose or loose at 1 staple centerfolds. I'm going to go ahead and say that this is common on this book. At this point I think CGC should just consider it a printing defect and not deduct for it.

If you are having to buy the Batman Adventures on ebay to trade for the ASM #129, why not just buy the ASM #129 cgc 3.5 that is on ebay?

I think they discussed in the books letter page that one of the creative team was going to leave the book and rather than continue without him they were just going to end it. The book was consistently high quality once Wolfman, Colan and Palmer joined up.

I've always got a decent premium when selling a book with double covers. It's a bit difficult to predict, but there is a good sized subset of collectors that look for these books.

I rarely get a thread all to myself, I wish he had listed all the books this afternoon while people were out celebrating MLK Day.
