Kingsley didn't even know about the serum until he read Osborn's journals, which was obviously after he was interested in the Goblin and acquiring his equipment. He didn't even suspect it until after his first encounter with Spidey, which made him realize that toys, no matter how powerful, weren't nearly enough to make him his match.
Luckily for him, he was more careful with it, to avoid Osborn's insanity.
Kingsley... Duh and touche. Mea Culpa... mea Culpa...
Leeds wasn't even really one of the Hobgoblins from what my poor memory recollects. Correct me if I'm wrong.
My main point was that super serum would and should be used more than once. Did they all have to be Goblins? ...no.

Hobgoblin literally steals the Green Goblin's stuff from his old hideouts.
The only known symbiote was acquired on the Beyonder's Battleworld and brought back to Earth by Spidey. Where would anybody else get one unless somebody decided to have it reproduce so they could create another Venom-like character?
Lol the point, that was missed, was ... if there is a supervillain serum you think only one guy is going to use it..... Seems like a waste of good juice.... I'll drink that **** right now.
Can't help it if Leeds had a hard-on for Osborn.
On the symbiotes and where to get one... I would say the planet of Klyntar would be a good place to start .... Any cosmic level entity shouldn't have to much trouble getting you one or more.

Love both have both ...
It's a tough question, my first thought was 238 but 252 came back swinging. (Multiple puns intended)
Side note I don't really see Hobgoblin as a rip off of Green Goblin.... The use of a super soldier serum that exacerbates insanity is going to lend itself to multiple villains going down that road.
Same with the symbiotes. I don't see Carnage as a rip off of Venom. IMO I would have found it weird if no one else used the serum or merged with a symbiote.
That being said they have overdone the symbiotes at times. Venomverse was a trashbag.

I wasn't emotionally ready at 41... Parenting is tough.
I hear you ... And second that.
I'm happy we started when we did because there is no such thing as being ready for the journey that is parenthood. Being 29 when we started puts us on a favorable timeline I think. We love each other to death and our daughter is the light of our life. Like everyone else we struggle internally and interpersonally, the days are long and the years are short at this stage of life. The trials of adulthood can be unimaginable.

The nice thing about getting old is poon has lost its urgency by a great margin. And right now, I would rather have two hunk of garlic bread with a Snickers bar in between them in one hand and "Twilight Zone" reruns are much more interesting than poon now. I KNOW!Rofl, my problem is I'm 32 and already in the same boat as you gents.
Married with kids etc. etc.
Some days I see it as a problem other days I just think I was liberated early... Depressing and enlightening all at once....
Comic buying of big books ($500+) is always a negotiation ... I negotiate for a living so I guess it works out but I have still missed some big books because I've negotiated to buy other books come bonus time and then books I NEED are no longer in the budget. I've managed to get my WBN 32, HOS 92, Warrior Mag , and IM 55 along with many others . But have effectively missed out on MS 5, ASM 129, SS3 along with many others.

full employment for all comic loving dorks in florida!
I would 100% work for CGC if they needed someone to help them with commercial real estate, could match what I'm making, and promised to grade my books quickly.

Last year there were 122,000 Spider-Man books graded at CGC (blue-labels only).
That is one book graded every minute of every hour, 8 hours per day, every day Mon-Fri, every week of the year.
That's JUST the blue-label Spider-Man books... one per minute, all year long.
Well that's just nucking futz!

This is the problem. as soon as TATs improve, more people send in more books which slow down TATs.
I really want to get my ASM 300 (8.5-9.2) graded along with my NM+ ASM 361's.... Just don't want to wait forever to get them back... they look nice on their shelf.

The 6 month turnaround is what keeps me from submitting my books... I like enjoying my collection letting the books float in the ether for 6 months to a year isn't my idea of a good time.

I figured this about adult kids wanting valuable FAs that you have more than one of....
Small Keys sure.... Big Keys not so much...
My daughter is about to turn three... Part of me hopes she gets into comics as she grows up and hope my collection is a inspiration for her to be a nerd.
I'd definitely part with some minor FAs and other keys to start her off.

Speaking of undervalued magazines...
Warrior Magazine #1 is still criminally undervalued , first V for Vendetta, First Miracleman.

The fact that this book is turning everyone into LCS secret police is "great" (sarcasm)
Super cool(sarcasm) love Bad Idea (also sarcasm).
I'm not hunting this stuff down... the gimmick super limited FP and and readily available NFP that come out the same day is a trash business model leading to nothing but shenanigans.... Just my honest opinion.

I've already gone in depth on how Iron Man is more analogous to Batman in another thread. (Unlimited resources due to being extremely rich, solid A team affiliation, among other reasons)
Personally find most comparisons to Batman lazy and generally done by people who haven't given Moon Knight a chance or read the runs.
Personally love Moon Knight and highly recommend reading the Lemire run to those who haven't.

All my slabs have a UV protectors on them. Sleeping Giant Comics out of Tonawanda NY used to sell them ... not sure if they still do. They had both UV and Slab pros which I am personally a fan of.

My humble entry into collecting Golden Age age
in Comics General
Posted
Hello my distinguished friends.
Been a member here for a while lurked here many years longer.
I mostly collect bronze age but I have always wanted to jump into the Golden Age with you fine gentlemen.
Recently I traded a chunk of books to one of my local shops for this nice piece of entry gold:
I have plenty of golden age targets but actually collecting Golden Age is new to me and proper value is hard to determine for a newbie to these golden halls.
So I have come you to guys to see how I did.
The price tag was $250
My trade value was a good chunk over $300 but I had to make it worth the shops time.
The book presents really well but has ample issues. The main one being a spine split affecting the cover only that goes up the bottom third of the book and looks like it it would gladly run another third if handled improperly. There is also a slight moisture stain on the top left and other general wear.
Hopefully some of you guys have some ideas on where a grade would land. I'd be happy with a 2.0 but am a man in a strange new land when it comes to Golden Age beauties like this.
