  1. wasn't there a Harvey warehouse find yet for some reason CGC calls them file copies? There's probably loads out there...like The Thing #16 lots of Misfits fans with money to burn I suppose
  2. Given that more bids = higher prices and that higher prices = more money, we can conclude: more bids = more money
  3. fresh from CGC, I present the newest and coolest pedigree...drumroll please...suitcase!
  4. A slabbed book (or any used item) that is frequently traded could easily end up generating more in sales tax than it's worth. So much for the promise of peer-to-peer internet, freedom and all that ok, time to get some dinner
  5. Even if you buy something from overseas, say UK, you still pay the sales tax.
  6. Only other comics history book I've read is 10-Cent Plague, this book is just as engrossing and informative. Man oh man, publishing ain't easy!
  7. Use a tiny, tiny, tiny amount of nail polish remover on a cotton swab. As gently as you can, rub it on the white out, maybe it will come off. Or it might eat through the cover straight to page 5...
  8. Sweet Lou 14 inquired politely and reasonably as to Berkbridge's charitable activities. Berkbridge responded accusing 'defamation' and posted a pic of a feebay comic seller's auctions whose username was 'Sweet_Lou_allnight' (or something similar) - a threat of sorts against said seller account. But, it was just a similar username, it isn't the Sweet Lou on this board's account.
  9. Yes, and Sweet Lou's inquisitive, not accusatory, post was conscientious, polite and reasonable. Berkbridge responds with a veiled threat against Sweet Lou's feebay seller account only problem is that that seller has no relation to this Sweet Lou.
  10. Possibly the only two single moms that ever got any 'support' from Berkbridge. Don't forget Berkbridge's most telling behavior in the poofed thread. A genuine, professional organization would never conduct itself in that manner.
  11. Q: How do you know when you're priced out of a comic book? A: When you can't even afford the reprint !!!
  12. You've done everything to keep air off the books but then introduced unnecessary airflow. The slabs aren't airtight. You said the room is temp controlled, I assume that means AC so why do you have a dehumidifier and a fan? Just put some dessicant packs in the box; they'll take care of any humidity that the AC doesn't remove. I guess that the books are ok as they are sealed under many layers. The slabs have fewer layers - a bag and a box and the increased airflow is getting to them and oxidizing the soft plastic.
  13. Forced air around comics is gonna age them real bad, probably making the slab plastic stink too as you're oxidizing it.
  14. Just print out an 8 font size=56 and tape it over the 4 you won't know the difference
  15. won't get fooled again WHAT DO I WIN
  16. does this mean green room wins?
