  1. Super cool to hear! So you just want your book presented the best way possible, I get that. Well look, the crease will be removed with a press so if that's what is holding the book back, it could be worth a shot. And you dont have to do it all at once. You could send it for a press and keep that beautiful book raw.
  2. I'm thinking of doing it. The service isn't too expensive and it can have a beautiful result.
  3. It's all good man. Good luck on the resubbing, really curious to the result. That is a gorgeous book and you have me jealous
  4. Hey man, you're right, that is a strong 1.8. Judging from the grader note you posted elsewhere, I think it's the spine that is causing it to go more towards 1.8 than 2.0 or 2.5 but we can't see that bit in the slab. the one that puzzles me most though out of all of those is that FF 4. Looks like a 4.0 to me, even with the lengthwide crease.
  5. You're right, where you posted it is better. I will go take a look.
  6. It would be helpful if you could post those in the "spare a grade " forum" for us to see if we agree or not.
  7. could you show us some examples? Maybe those 9.6s that you think are 9.8 really are 9.6. Without pics, we can't really tell.
  8. There is 0 guarantee that they will be the same grade since they will all be regraded after all the handling. We have many reports of 9.8s coming back 9.6. So send them only if you are ok with the chance of it going down a grade.
  9. Yes 100%, a crease is a crease no matter where. And CGC has a knack for being more conservative when grading restoration (from what I have been told) I will answer your question with this one: Would you be ok with losing 250$? Because due to your tier, thats how much you'd pay when all is said and done and probably still be stuck with a 6.0. What I wonder is why you didn't accept that offer for 2800. A near 300% return is pretty sweet.
  10. I'm just reporting what's written to have all the facts on the table during the discussion. It was I who couldn't spot him, that was the initial point of the thread. And if this issue is not the character's first appearance, then shouldn't someone change the wiki?
  11. He`s from that timeline and, as I wrote, he isn't the only one. There is Bruce Banner Jr as well. "Old Man Logan actually debuted as a character in Mark Millar's run on Fantastic Four, which featured characters who are heavily implied to be the aged Wolverine and Bruce Banner Jr. as an adult. " Anyways, here is marvel's wiki where both issues are listed as being important: https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/James_Howlett_(Earth-807128) And here is wikipedia which only has FF 558 as his first apearance: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Man_Logan
  12. I know we are talking about Wolverine here but in this case he is not the only character to appear in both FF and Old Man Logan. Millar also introduced a new Hulk. We see him in FF 558 and it's at the end of his Old Man Logan story that we see the origin of that Bruce Banner and when Logan met him.
  13. Can this be downloaded in canada and will dealers ship to Canada?
  14. Definitely not worth sending in, it would be a waste of money.
  15. The difference is Web of spider-man doesn't come up online when you search for venom's first appearance, at least not even close to as much as ASM 299/300. 299 is listed as his first appearance on Marvel's wiki. But for Old Man Logan, Fantastic Four 558 is what comes up.
  16. Well yeah, it makes sense for rare comics since any talk of FMV goes out the door. The book in the grade you want will come up once a year, there's no average anyone can make from that, so you pay what you are willing to pay. I do find it pretty cool when I buy a rare GA book and that price becomes the main price on the GPA for a year or two, it's like I set the market (for that one book).
  17. They've been selling for around that for 5 years now, even before she was announced to be in the film. So that's what I meant, the book hasn't had a boost in price due to the film, at least none that I see.
  18. i wouldnt call it revisionist history though since both ff and wolverine were written by the same writer at the time and Mark Millar always tries to create hype and synergy where he can. He was using the same characters in both books.
  19. Ah man, I didnt know, that book's got alot going for it. But speaking of that film, it doesnt seem to have much of an impact on Huntress 1. I just bought a high grade raw for 15$
