Keys in this era of CGC 9.8 are the following: First appearance First cover We see it in back issues, it's why Batman 475 has jumped to ridiculous levels in the past 3 years since even though it is not the first appearance of Scarface, it is his first Cover appearance. So think of it the same way. Venom 3 first print is the first appearance of Knull, but Venom 3 3rd print is his first cover appearance. So even though its the same issue, you now have 2 collectibles spawned from it and they are collectible in their own right. The fact that one is a 3rd print is inconsequential. We already saw this with Ms Marvel and how a 2nd print became super collectible because it was her first cover appearance.

About Convergence Superman, is it common that the spine looks like garbage? I mean you see a ragged white line all across the spine with some chipping or slight tear at the top and bottom.

Came out the same month. Not sure about the exact week. I read somewhere that FF 558 was considered first because it was within the 616 universe as opposed to an alternate timeline. I kinda lost it after reading that. But serious, type anywhere online "first appearance of old man logan" and FF 558 shows up first, always. I don't really get it. I bought Fantastic Four 558 today because I like the character of Old Man Logan and figured, why not have his first appearance. But after looking through the book, I don't see him. Maybe I missed him and if I did please let me know where he is (the point of this post) and if he isn't actually in the issue then why in the world would this be considered his first appearance?
