  1. Did you check out the feedback he's left for others?
  2. The oldest one I can pull out quickly is #8, from 1978, years before MHII (1985). Pretty sure both issues were cited the same way in 1977. Neither book has ever appeared to have been in short supply in my travels.
  3. I don't have my '70s Overstreets handy, but I'm pretty sure it was designated as such before MHII came to be.
  4. We still haven't burned through the movies or shows we're interested in yet, so no one has experienced a shift to more game time. We don't have a fancy system or gaming computer and most games are played by the younger Pontoon. However, he has rekindled an interest in Minecraft and wants mom and pop to join so at some point I plan to install it on a secondary computer and get gaming on the kitchen table.
  5. Sounds it was a notice from ebay as opposed to an offer sent by the seller.
  6. I'm just going to have to kill that boy! I'm just going to have to kill him!
  7. If I were you, I'd post some books in the "Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?" Forum: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/42-hey-buddy-can-you-spare-a-grade/ You can get an idea from various board members as to the grade and see if they match up with your assessment. There's always the chance that despite your time in the hobby you may have a bit of a learning curve as to how CGC does it.
  8. This isn't a title normally in my wheelhouse, but my son knows I like Beaver and collect comics so he bought this book as a birthday present. He's very thoughtful about gifts, this is one that will always be near and dear to my heart.
  9. Some nice books there! Sort of wished I hadn't looked; having a bit of a buying moratorium currently.
  10. You looking at the right website? https://www.bedrockcity.com Superworld has more extensive stock on their website, plus they often have sales there.
  11. Looks like a 9.2 sold for $11 in 2017 according to GPA.
  12. Always a great transaction with Chris, a fine upstanding member of the Boards. Buy or sell with confidence!
  13. Rereading was on the weekend plan but I didn't get to it; made it halfway through Marvel Spotlight #1 though which I've never read.
  14. If I had my #2 scanned I'd post it here but I don't but here's my #97 which was out of its box. It's a pretty nice copy, though the overspray bugs me a tad.
  15. Been reading through some of my old ASMs recently and figured I’d scan them while they were out. I’ve had these since the mid 70s.
  16. Also, it looks like your scanner is pooping out. You're getting artifacts on the plate that resemble the ribbon cable; I've seen other HP scanners do this when they get old; it's especially noticeable over black. I highlighted the area I'm referring to:
  17. You're cropping them a bit tightly. I would leave a little more space around the edges and use a neutral background behind the book. Also, be careful laying your books face down on the centerfold like that.
  18. It's the spine split that causes the grade. Leave as is - still very cool! Detached staples aren't helping either. Even if you press out the creases and don't damage the spine split or staples even more in the process, I can't see this pulling a 6.0. Listen to Mr. Fingh and leave it.
