  1. Tales of Suspense #49, G/VG, $75. Early X-Men crosover, 1st Tales of the Watcher backup and Steve Ditko art on Iron man. But you knew that.
  2. This will be a short sales thread with just a handful of books. Sales details are as follow: Boxed Priority will be around $10-13 depending on zip and weight. Cheap books I can ship First Class starting at $4.50. PM for international shipping quotes or questions. As usual, drop the if you'd like the book in the thread or via PM. In the event more than one person would like a book, the first by timestamp gets it regardless whether via PM or in the thread. Payment is expected within 7 days of invoice; payment accepted via PayPal; checks or postal money orders are fine, too. And of course, if you're not happy, return the books for your money back. No HOSers, probies or general nincompoops, please.
  3. I sold several items last night. With one of them, I received a paid notification via ebay email, and the item is paid in PayPal but on my selling page the "Send Invoice" button was showing instead of "Print Shipping Label". It also is not showing up as paid in my weekly tally, though it does show up as paid on the listing page itself.
  4. You called? Okey-dokey! 1) Don't overpay for your inventory. 2) Grade your inventory correctly. 3) Price it accordingly and realistically.
  5. What are some of the titles? What's your ebay handle?
  6. Don Heck gets a bum rap, he was a fine artist. While his '50s era Comic Media and Atlas work may be his most satisfying, I like his pre-hero monster stories, '60s superhero stories and '70s output as well. Here’s a nice page from 1973. In the '70s his art could look pretty bad when matched with the wrong inker or if it was a last minute rush job. The biggest problem with his ‘60s books were the times he was trying too hard to mimic Kirby’s dynamics. He knew how to layout and tell a story visually better than a lot of modern artists.
  7. A good, old-fashioned blue USPS mailbox at a small strip mall located down the street from my job.
  8. First, I’d take D84s advice. It sounds passive-aggresive. Second, why do you have to go to the post office every time? I maintain top-rated status and use a convenient mailbox for 90% of my shipments. You can also schedule a pickup.
  9. Yep. Until you sell your crappily encased comics to me. Then I have to scrape all the krap off, and replace it with a new bag and a post it flag. Edited 10 hours ago by lizards2 Over time the adhesive on color coded labels lots dries up and leaves residue, guaranteed. The only two things I would use are painters tape or, because it makes Lizards happy, post-its.
  10. I'm confused. In this thread, you're using Giles Hargraves at Asgard Comics in the UK to press comics: But days later you've become an experienced presser using "proper conservator methods"?
  11. And a few days after ending at $310.99 it is now relisted: https://www.ebay.com/itm/STAN-LEE-JOHN-ROMITA-JR-Hand-Signed-Autographed-SPIDERMAN-Sketches-w-COA/264625553268?hash=item3d9ce97f74:g:ppAAAOSwWI1eLzzX
  12. Someone else posted their Strange Tales #113 bound the same way last month:
  13. CGC frowns on posting CBCS slabs on the Boards; Mods may zap the post if they see it.
  14. Agreed. I don't recall anything in the FF run that made me think Ben was in competition with Reed for Sue's love. The basic setup was Reed was in love with Sue, Sue was Reed's friend, Ben was Reed's college roommate and friend, Johnny was Sue's kid brother and if anyone was in competition with Reed for Sue's affection it was the Sub-mariner Don’t have anything in front of me and would need to doublecheck, but I’m pretty sure in the first few issues Ben makes a few quips that imply a hint of jealously. I’ve never read anything having to do with a Ben/Sue relationship though, unless there’s some modern retcon drek story I don’t know about. While we're on the topic, for anybody with an interest in who did what, "Lee and Kirby: Stuf' Said" by John Morrow is a must-read. https://twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=98_57&products_id=1513&zenid=4bd4f795936d51efa4ce661c91572491
  15. Second that. This is the thread for general discussion about the Forum Selling Area, not ebay. The question belongs in Comics General, where it will also get more attention, in this thread:
  16. I never seem to have a problem on my laptop. I'm one of the folks that has trouble with it. I'm always on a desktop or laptop. Worked fine twice today; couldn't get it to function the other day in the "Buying at a Convention" thread. Ages ago it was discussed in one of the "Problems with the New Boards" threads, I don't recall a workaround.
