  1. It's most likely a scam and a hacked account.
  2. And isn't "comic books" the operative word? Is it not implied that the "unwitnessed signatures" are supposed to be on comic books or comic book related?
  3. I just looked at completed ebay listings. There's plenty of recent ones that ended from $5 -$15, some for even less. I think you can find you grade range for cheap if you keep at it.
  4. Staples don't look replaced to me. Looks like you're not far from a complete spine split and detached in 2 pieces cover though. I would be extremely careful opening it all the way again or lifting the top and bottom edges of the cover.
  5. That's similar to what I go through as a run collector. One day, a complete drek book that I haven’t picked up yet zooms into the stratosphere due to movie hype. I didn't know GSFF #4 was still a thing; I thought it already blew over.
  6. If you don't like the book and the seller offered a refund, just send it back and buy one that suits your needs.
  7. All together now! Everybody post their JIM #82s!
  8. How about some late period Love Romances: I’m a huge fan of Kirby, but his Marvel romance stories can’t hold a candle to the GA books with Joe Simon. They look as if he was doing not much more than layouts but what really kills them for me are the stories, which i assume were mostly Stan Lee synopses. The plots are very formulaic, simple and aimed towards younger readers, whereas the GA books had longer, meatier stories with a bit more realism, or at least B-movie realism.
  9. Thanks! I'm real happy with it. I'd like to find a similar #6 next. In the meantime, here's my #102:
  10. Tx! Unfortunately, the Phantom of Massacre Gulch isn’t truly a deathly ghoul, he turns out to be banker Turner wearing a disguise in a ploy to get the local ranchers to sell their land for pennies on the dollar. What a rat-basterd! One thing that strikes me about this page besides the layout and nice drawing is the third panel of the gulch. Based on the vegetation, it looks like Joe Maneely was thinking about South America more than south Texas.
  11. Dang, this thread is so far back I had to find it via Google. Nobody loves the Hulk. Let's remedy that and bump with a recent pickup. I'd prefer better PQ, but a nice copy without chipping was the priority.
  12. Picked this up recently. Obligatory horror content:
  13. I like your enthusiasm but you don't want to seem over eager. My favorite place!
  14. I think he's been gone for years and I forget his board name. WD23 or something like that? IIRC he started to drop out after posting a thread containing pictures of a costume party he attended. Whoops! Looks like his most current name was howardhallis before wdb23, and it looks like it's been about 3 years since he's been around.
  15. That was Howard Hallis. http://howardhallis.com/doctorstrange/customs.html
