  1. And another is added to the pantheon: "Get into my comfort zone!" "The fat drips right off!" "I'm not gonna pay a lot for this muffler!" "Punch out those flaws!"
  2. I'm not sure how to answer; depends on what is considered GA. I collect books throughout the '50s but some folks don't consider them GA. I guess the answer is yes if Atom Age counts and no if it doesn't.
  3. Me too on both counts. I especially enjoy reading Forumite reports, and also parsing through the reports with an unspoken agenda, like "Mid-grade mid-run Sgt. Fury's are on fire! I can't keep them in stock!" I'll probably pick a copy up today or tomorrow, will probably go for the Steranko cover. Do most folks here buy a paperback or hardcover? I switched to hardcover years ago, it just became too unwieldy in paperback at it's current size. One of these days I might have to go for the grandad/dealer spiral bound version. My eyes aren't what they used to be!

  5. The cover story in TTA #20 is one of the great pre-hero monster epics.
  6. Doesn’t anybody here like Marvel SA? To me, a lot of the runs folks are showing disdain towards ARE Marvel Comics; if I had to choose between my ‘70s and up books and the ‘60s, I’d dump the later ones in a heartbeat. I love them all, TTA, TOS, DD, FF, ASM, ST, JIM, Avengers, etc. I’m surprised how many people don’t like TTA or TOS, which have great art and stories. All of those titles were really solid until around the ’68 expansion/explosion after which Stan seemed to peter out. That said, the Giant-Man stories were not the greatest, and many of the Torch stories in ST were sub-par compared to the other titles. That series reminds me of the goofy, nonsensical stuff you’d see in the DC books of the period.
  7. I think Bob is the only one who answered the actual question asked, though it seems like the intent of the OP was to ask "What is your least favorite run?"
  8. He was a great actor, RIP. My two favorite roles were in Crimes and Misdemeanors and as Andro on the Outer Limits. His talent shone through even with heavy makeup.
  9. After seeing it yesterday with my son, I clicked on this thread and was surprised to see how many folks didn’t care for it. We both thought it was great! I was really glad to see a super-hero movie that was fun and exciting for a change without an overload of brooding, tormented hero angst. It at least goes to-to-toe with Raimi’s Spider-Man II and surpasses I and III; I might even like it better. The opening credits homage to the '66 series theme was a nice touch, and the final Captain America PSA pretty funny to me, as my son was being anything but patient at that point.
  10. I will expect to see all 5 copies posted in General after they arrive.
  11. Theoretically, it's a potential hotbed o' fun, a never-ending Friday thread. Maybe it's really supposed to be a shill trap. Instead of hiding behind a billboard in an interceptor, Arch is trying to lure malefactors who can't resist attempting to stir the pot.
  12. Arch has a sense of humor, but this is no joke: However, most of the initial batch of posts read like they are.
  13. Thanks guys, this looks great! All my old PB images are shot, but hoping to move forward with this one. You should still be able to download them from PB, though I think what you'll get is re-sized.
  14. I mailed it to the po box. I put the order number on the money order also. I don't think they have a step by step system, where it would show payment received and such, which would be nice. I usually include a copy of the invoice when I mail a check to them.
  15. Because everybody wants some, I want some too. Everybody wants some, hey, how about you?
  16. Whatever coding Photobucket is performing must be incremental rather than global. Some of my images are okay, others are not; a week ago I could circumvent the problem by re-pasting URLs but today nothing is working. I figured Lawrence has a good head on his shoulders and gave postimage a shot. I just listed a bunch of books on ebay and it was 10 times easier than Photobucket. Images upload in order, the file names are visible and the layout to copy various formats simple and fast. Bye-bye Photobucket! There has to be something strange going on behind the scenes. This recent move is going to deep-six the company.
  17. Nice! You don't see those everyday, plus it has a great Everett cover.
