  1. Dang. I'm blocking eBaydaisy and johneBay.
  2. Perhaps you are only looking at the Comiclink session that was running last night? Here's when the particular sessions ended: Tues, 7/25: Session 1, Evening 1 Select, Key & High-Grade Silver and Bronze Age Comics (pre-1976) Wed, 7/26: Session 1, Evening 2 Select, Key & High-Grade Silver and Bronze Age Comics (pre-1976) Thurs, 7/27: Session 2: Golden Age comic books and Superman Memorabilia Fri, 7/28: Session 3, Evening 1: CGC Graded Late Bronze, Copper and Modern Age Comic Books (post-1975) Mon, 7/31, Session 3, Evening 2: CGC Graded Late Bronze, Copper and Modern Age Comic Books (post-1975) Tues, 8/1, Session 4: Assorted Comics and other Memorabilia Wed, 8/2, Session 5: Original Art Thurs, 8/3 Session 6: Sports Cards There were plenty of high grade books selling for high grade prices on the other nights. "Assorted Comics" is where they relegate lower grade books for bottom feeders like myself.

  4. Somehow I managed to snag this in a Foolkiller sales thread; it had even been sitting there for a few hours IIRC.
  5. The thing about those early issues is that even when they weren't so good, they still had a charm to them. Though the non-Lee and Kirby part of the run pushes it. Those stories are maybe second behind the post-Kirby torch stories in Strange Tales for goofiness. The man with the horns:
  6. Looks like it might be missing a piece; scroll down for a photo:
  7. What happened to the "Date Joined" underneath our avatars in posts? It's a nice perk and I don't want to have to visit somebody's profile to see it. Arch - what's the word?
  8. "Get into my comfort zone!" "The fat drips right off!" "I'm not gonna pay a lot for this muffler!" "Punch out those flaws!"
  9. Yup, #179 was the last. With the exception of #178 which had John Buscema pencils.
  10. I've got another obligation and won't be able to attend, but I hope it's successful. We need more show like this.
  11. That thread is severely neutered. Might as well start anew. Not sure what I have scanned, but here's my JIM #104.
  12. Oh no! What a shame. I always wanted to meet her, used to bug the Boston Comic Con promoters to have her as a guest. R.I.P. Flo.
  13. The VCC may not be what it used to be, but I picked up a few things posted at the last one that led to picking up a small stack. It would be a shame to see it go away.
  14. There's a little write-up/interview in the guide with him about the Batman cover. I didn't particularly like the cover and went with ROM. I would have preferred to see Steranko do Batman like he would've (most likely) drawn him in the late 60's. That's what I wound up buying as well. I walked in thinking I'd go for Steranko Batman, but there was something about it I didn't care for so I picked up the ROM cover instead. I like Batman umch better than ROM, too.

  16. Cover on #1 is by Don Heck, Bill Everett cover on #2. Three to four interior stories each on both are by Don Heck, with one by other artists.
  17. I was lucky and got to meet Joe and some family members a few years ago in Boston. As already stated, he's a wonderful, super nice guy. Here's a recent article in the NY Times on Joe: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/02/nyregion/spider-man-and-his-inker-wrists-still-going-strong-a-half-century-later.html I'd also recommend this book published by TwoMorrows for those interested in Joe: http://twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=544:
  18. Maybe he means a list with hotlinks to the individual seller's pages on ebay?
  19. Nothing new, but here's an old one with Al Feldstein. Assuming he counts.
