  1. There was a Pyro Stegosaurus model that was molded in purple, I forgot to mention him. Those guys were smaller and all in different scales.
  2. I keep watching and debating buying it but yes very expensive Current prices for that book are seller-on-crack insane. I'd like one myself, but I'll wait until a reasonable copy comes across my path. Speaking of crazy prices, the majority of asking prices for the Moebius repops are also nuts. So far I've been able to pick up the ones I want on my cheapskate budget by being patient. I still have my originals (except for Vampirella ) but I prefer using reissues for building and painting. The Giant Insect was never released in the US. Maybe you're thinking of of of the MPC Gigantics kits? Anyways, after Nabisco pulled the plug on the series, remaining inventory was sent to Canada along with 3 kits that didn't get released here, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (these were later reissued as Monsters of the Movies kits) and the Giant Insect. The Victim was renamed Dr. Deadly's Daughter.
  3. I think you mean Styracosaurus. Aurora never made a Stegosaurus, although Dave Cockrum designed one and a prototype was scuplted but never released. I think it was in the '90s someone produced a resin kit based on the design.
  4. Well, if you're getting all goofy with these modern books, how about a She-Hulk #8? Sort of a Ploog-style Man-Thing.
  5. Thanks for the likes on the #26, those spine tics drive me crazy! It's one of those issues I haven't gotten around to upgrading. Luke looks kind of scared on the cover of #27. It's not particularly becoming a super-hero.
  6. All I see is Maneely and that's also who's credited with pencils and inks. I can't recall any instances where one inked the other.
  7. Yup. It was one of the top stories for days in a row, heavily covered. The Tea Party story was more towards the end of the broadcasts I saw.
  8. Asking this goes against my better judgement, but it what was it if not a protest against British oppression?
  9. I've actually seen it on the local news several times the last few days, there's going to be a reenactment today. When I did a Google search, pretty much all of the local news outlets came up along with some national news stories.
  10. Did he actually pay yet? He sounds like a bit of a yahoo. $60 reduction isn't good enough but $70 is?
  11. Here's my latest, a reissue of The Forgotten Prisoner of Castle-Mare. I was compelled to use the glow parts because that's how I built my original. I had a bit of assembly trouble but overall I mostly think it came out okay.
  12. So I've never read any of these issues. The non-rocky Thing person is Ms. Marvel? Huh-wha?
  13. Put me in the downsize camp. 14,000 is a *lot* of funnybooks, and I'm guessing a good chunk of them are of recent vintage as opposed to high value and/or rare SA and GA. If you've got a bunch of cheap Copper and Moderns, just dump them and replace them after you've moved. You might find you don't miss them so much and they might be cheaper to replace than move all that way.
  14. There's no such thing as white ink. Four color printing involves cyan, magenta, yellow and black, colors are produced by a mix of those four. Areas of white are areas where no ink was applied, what you see is the white of the paper. The circle doesn't look production related to me. I don't see this spot on other covers I found online, and in the closeup it appears to be raised off the surface, like a spot of a foreign substance that was dropped onto the cover.
  15. That is patently bizarre. It must be some sort of label error or GPA goof. I've never seen any of the '60s Lancer paperbacks slabbed, nor the '70s Pocket Books/Kangaroo books or the DC series either. It doesn't make any sense, CGC doesn't slab paperbacks.
  16. Slabbed? That's news to me. I can't find any on ebay, do you have a link to an example?
