  1. The Revell reissue of the Monster of the Movies Dracula gets my vote for the worst monster model box art ever. However, since I plan to build it (which I wouldn't want to do with a sealed original) it doesn't matter so much.
  2. Would love to hear what people think. Thanks!
  3. You mean leaf casting? That's a technique of paper conservation that's been around for decades. Kenny Sanderson was the first person I'm aware of to develop it as a technique to use for comic restoration, and that was probably a good 20 years ago at this point, maybe longer. Leaf casting will not garner a blue label and I don't recall a Batman 1 that went from purple to blue.
  4. The original thread was locked, but Mike didn't obliterate it so that a record would remain:
  5. I would think it would be obvious to the submitter or seller of the book, too.
  6. They come in a variety of sizes. You want the 775M2 Silver/Gold. https://www.egerber.com/catalog_mylites2.htm
  7. Why risk any amount? Changing your registered address takes no time at all. If a buyer is legit and can't be arsed to correct their address I don't want their business.
  8. To get technical about it, the return label on a Comiclink package reads: Josh Nathanson C-link followed by the street address. It's similar to Heritage, whose return labels read: Customer Service HSC followed by the street address. I always assumed they were addressed this way so as deter possible theft.
  9. I'll strongly second that. I won an Astonishing #4 years ago that had undisclosed color touch. I returned it without any problems, but really regret doing so since I don't come across copies too often and they've gone up quite a bit.
  10. FedEx has been associated with Walgreens for a while. You can both ship and receive packages there. Think of it as a UPS store, but FedEx and located inside Walgreens.
  11. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like a signature is required for your package, delivery was attempted but no one was home to sign, so your package was not delivered.
  12. Where are you seeing 13 negative reviews? All I see is a single neutral review. J&S Comics out of New Jersey is a reputable and well-known dealer. I have bought from them before without issue, though that was at least 10 years ago. There are probably threads on the Boards that mention them. They've been doing mail order since at least the early '80s and used to advertise in the comics. Now, if I didn't know that and was just looking at their ebay listings I would see that they've been selling on ebay since 1999. That's a long track record, they're obviously not someone who decided to strike it rich and just started selling at the height of the pandemic bubble. I see page after page of positive, glowing reviews praising their shipping methods and grading skills, and they've sold over 73,000 items. The one neutral I see is someone complaining that his sealed multipacks were not individually bagged and boarded. The type of negative feedback is important. Does the negative feedback come from a long-time ebayer and concern a problem like shipping a valuable, high grade item in a manilla envelope, or does it come from a newbie complaining about an undisclosed 1/4" interior tear on a $5, low-grade comic? I can also see that J&S sells a wide variety of comics in a variety of grades. They aren't just selling boxloads of modern drek and they assign grades as opposed to saying "we're not professional graders," or "grading is subjective, you decide based on the photos." I can tell from their listings they are a comic selling business, not someone who is selling some comics along with various yard sale items. I'm not seeing red flags here. The seller from FL you linked to in your previous thread looked a lot more questionable to me.
  13. It depends on what the negative feedback says, who wrote the negative feedback, the percentage of negative feedback, how long the seller has been on ebay, how many transactions the seller has had and what type of items the seller sells. Sometimes you have to read between the lines. Who is the seller you're referring to?
  14. These sellers sound like people I'd prefer to avoid. Can we have their ebay handles?
